I has a new ticker...I'll wait for you to look at it....Yup you read that right-  SQUEEE!!!! We're going to Japan!!!!

As you may (or may not) remember, BF's bro, sis and bro in law all live in Japan right now. BF parents wanted to do a big family visit this spring, but BF and I just could not afford it. But then his Bro talked to the fam, and the trip is our xmas present! We will still have to chip in some, but it makes the trip do able. Also, we are not exchanging gifts, so no shopping stress! I'm just going to bake lots of yummy treats :)

I'm so excited!!! 

Other then that- I got my application for my **dream** job turned in, so I'm just waiting to hear from them. BF's having a cruddy day, so I'm thinking of bringing home some sushi to start off dinner (flank steak that must be grilled tonight). And now I'm drinking a gingerbread latte, listing to xmas music before going to a couple of medations...

So, whats new with every one here?

    Oooooh, lucky!! I look forward to the sweet day that I'll be able to go to Japan. All of our current travel plans are European/North African, but one day, we'll go to Japan (and I'll go to North Korea, f*ck yeah).

    Aww, that sounds awesome! I'm crossing my fingers for you on the dream job front, and I'm envious about your trip to Japan!

    I'm about to head off to Denver today!  And I'm looking forward to meeting some Knotties there, then I get to come home, host a baby shower, drive off for a family outing/Thanksgiving, then I get to meet CCO.  Next few weeks are going to be busy, but fun!

    But now, back to homework...

    How exciting! My uncle lives in Japan. (He was in the navy and met his wife over there in the 90s and has lived there ever since).

    I've always wanted to visit after seeing my grandmother's pictures of her trips there. I look forward to your pictures and stories of this awesome trip! Yay special Christmas gifts!

    The first trip is one that we've both been dying to do for years: visiting Chernobyl. We're going to fly into Spain because it's the cheapest port of entry then make a big trip involving the Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, France and finally back to Spain to go home. I love how cheap intra-European flights are!

    The second is one that I've been sort of toying with in my head: a Mediterranean cruise that hits Spain, France and Italy followed by overland trips to Portugal and Morocco. I'm mad excited about Morocco.
