Weekend Update

Why the heck was TK so wonky this weekend??  Anyways, I figured since it was down so much we can do a little update

Friday: I did nothing & it was glorious.

Saturday: I was lazy, I watched Lifetime movies while FI was out skating. Then we went to FBIL's surprise birthday party.  They had a photobooth:

Sunday: I dropped FI off at his brother's to watch football & I went to Old Navy to stock up on sweaters (75% off!!).  Then we went to our friends' engagement party which was fun

And of course... MY EAGLES BEAT THE STINKY GIANTS LAST NIGHT!!!!

Friday: I worked and extra 2 hours. Then a girlfriend and I grabbed a late lunch and did some shopping in downtown Denver.

Saturday: I went with Lunar to the airport to pick up LivLieghton! We ate lunch together and then went to David's where we balled like babies as Lunar found her wedding dress! Then we headed downtown, picked up Becunning and all went to dinner and then out for coffee. It was an awesome knottie g2g day!

Sunday: BF and I went for massages (sadly, mine hurt). Next, went over to the grandparent's house to help them with some things. Then I went down to CO Springs for Lunar's housewarming party. Came home and watched August Rush with BF until we fell asleep.

Friday: Worked all day, went over to a friend's house for dinner and wine.  Came home at like midnight and played singstar with my roommate and had a philosophical life discussion until 5am.

Saturday: Cleaned house.  Had a really horrible date.  Dropped off paperwork at my boss's house, and was in bed by 2.

Sunday: Worked on Christmas cards and grad school applications.  Had dinner with a really old friend.  Came home, putzed around the house and watched the Eagles beat the Giants!!!!  And joined OkCupid.

Oooh sounds like fun!

Friday I went to Home Depot to pick out paint for DD's room. I also bought some tiles to try these coaster things I found on pinterest. I got spray paint as well to attempt another project I saw on Pinterest.

Saturday I spent the entire day cleaning and painting DD's room. (There's a post below with pictures). It took me a few hours, but I did everything all by myself and I felt so proud! Saturday night we went to dinner. We were going to go see Breaking Dawn, but by the time we got done with dinner it was late and I was pooped, so we're going tonight.

Sunday FI and I went to our favorite breakfast place. Then I went shopping at Target to get the blu ray box set of HP ($79.99 compared to $110 at Wal Mart!) And I proceeded to spend entirely too much money on what exactly I'm not sure. I came home and ended up taking a nap. It was glorious. Then FI and I hung DD's curtains (which match her bedspread) and watched the Giants/Eagles game.

All in all it was a great weekend, but as usual entirely too short for me. I need another few days.

Friday: Went to a fun restaurant with my mom & sis (the kind where they make the guacamole right in front of you - yummm), and went to see the HS play where my mom & sis work. It's the HS that sis and I went to, and now she works there with my mom - she was really involved in theater so she likes to get to as many plays as she can. Usually they are amazing - this one was awful. They did the Laramie Project - which is a terribly sad story to begin with, and IMO is written rather disjointedly, and then the kids didn't act it out very well on top of it. But at least the rest of the night was fun

Saturday: I cleaned my house top and bottom and then went out to lunch and shopping with my sister. I told myself I wasn't going to buy any clothing for myself - and ended up dropping $150 at Old Navy. Oops. We got a few things for BFF's bachelorette and had fun planning some things. After lunch I went home and got ready for BFF to come over that night and made her dinner. And then I drank too much wine

Sunday: I battled a hangover most of the morning. I have come to realize that I pretty much have a hangover no matter how much I drink (I felt queasy Friday morning after having two glasses of wine Thursday, and felt queasy Saturday morning after having 2 lousy beers at the restaurant) and it is no fun. BF was a sweetheart and took good care of me, and when I was feeling better I went grocery shopping and made us a yummy dinner. We watched some football and then snuggled up and I showed him the last HP - he loved it! But who wouldn't?

All in all a good weekend, and now I have a ton of things to get done this week!

I'm jealous of this knottie get together that happened.

Friday: Hospital. You heard about this from my other post. Then Jeff came down becasue I couldn't handle being alone. My roommates and our men went out for apps. I can't drink now, so it was nice that we did that instead of them all ditching Jeff and I and going out.

Saturday: Worried about my stupid kidneys somemore. We went for a walk in the morning.  Then Jeff brought me to the pet store because we love going there and because I want a little beta or something cute. I also went to the craft store to get some supplies for my ss gift. Saturday night Jeff and I   made a yummy dinner and some friends joined us for a movie. Again, no drinking for me!

Sunday: I helped with the kids at chuch which was fun. Went to huhot for lunch which was delish. And said goodbye to Jeff.

My weekend...

Friday, I went to BF's coworker's wedding. it was short but fun and the food wa delicious! I poste a video in the intro BF thread of us before we left. But, here is a pic from the wedding.



Saturday, I got my hair done at 9am (not smart the morning after a wedding). Then we had the Venezuelan society party that night. We had a blast and BF was pretty good at dancing to Latin music. He also witnessed my father dancing a traditional style dance called "Tambor" and he didn't go running out of the party, he is a keeper! lol... I forgot to take pics, but as soon as some pop up on FB I will post them here.

Sunday I slept until 10!!!! (latest I've slept in moths!) Then we were lazy all day, watched movies and football, did laundry etc. It was amazeballs!

Friday: I went out to p/u a new Bengals jersey that I ordered for cheap for BF's Christmas present while BF worked out.  (real deal with sewn letters/numbers for $45), the guy ended up having women's sizes as well, so I got myself one too!   We then went out to dinner and had a couple drinks before catching a late night comedy show, which was hilarious!  We ran into a guy that he worked with for years and his wife and sat with them, then had a beer after and headed home.

Saturday: Mostly lazy, I didn't feel well.  Squeezed in a little sexy time before he went to work at the fire department.  I ran a couple errands and then was lazy all night.

Sunday: Lazy, mostly.  I took some items to church for the Thanksgiving drive and then headed to BF's parents who just returned from Jamaica and hung out with the family,we watched football and the nascar race, I played with the little girls while BF played cards.

I've felt super tired and had a headache for 3 days now.  My period finally came (it was a little late, but that's not abnormal for me) so I'm hoping that I can stop feeling like crap asap!

Friday: I had an awesome day at work! Afterwards, I did my normal thing of Friday chiropractor and acupuncture.

Saturday: We slept until noon. Upon waking, he started playing Skyrim and played all day. I watched Breaking Bad all day and started drawing a female hipster. I found out after I started that our friend Zola took my black and sepia lining pens back to Mississippi with her, so I was only able to line her face, hair and moustachioed hand.

Sunday. Slept until noon again. Upon waking, Tyler started playing Skyrim and I went back to lining and coloring my hipster. More Breaking Bad was viewed. In the afternoon, our friend Liza came to visit and we went and got some dosa at my favorite Indian restaurant then got frozen yoghurt. Upon returning home, I colored my hipster more and started trying to figure out the drawing of her keffiyeh, as that is a key article of clothing in hipster land.

Friday: work, then I helped FI's BFF cut up neck pumpkins for her seasonal pie-making enterprise.

Saturday: went food shopping, caught up on work, then I got gussied up and attended an annual fondue party at one of my BFF's places. It's something we try to do at least twice a year, and it's only for the girls who worked or currently work at the movie theater. We always split up who's bringing what (bread, strawberries, marshmallows, veggies, pretzels, etc), and the host has to provide the fondue-making supplies. We always do a cheese and a chocolate. It was so much fun to see these girls! I miss them a lot and now that we no longer work together, I don't see them too often. We had fondue, played Taboo and watched "Up" because one of the girls had never seen it.

Sunday: lazy day. Did more food shopping, made mozzarella-stuffed meatball subs for dinner and watched cartoons with FI until we passed out. We missed "Dexter"

That's pretty much it though! Not eventful.

Friday I worked, have no memory of what I did in the evening until BF and I went to Staple's to get him a new desk. This is where he pointed out the exact gift I had just gotten for him and said he didn't like that model, so I had a mini freak out. I'm returning it, and he knows it, but I'm getting him something different that he also wants, so it'll all work out

Saturday BF went to a LAN party so I had the house to myself all day. I did all of the laundry, did some cleaning, and studied. It was nice to be so productive, and it was nice to be in a quiet house all day. Even the dog was quiet and napped pretty much all day. BF's brother's fiance messaged me at one point in the day to ramdomly apologize for being "weird" to me in the past. I really appreciated that, since I could never understand why she seemed to dislike me. That night a friend I hadn't seen since summer invited me to come out and see a show with her, so we met up, had a couple beers, and I got hit on a little bit, which made me feel pretty dang hot. It was good to have girl time, I need to do that more frequently.

Sunday BF and I slept in, made a late breakfast, and put together his new desk. He cooked some awesome spaghetti for dinner. I'm so lucky to have a man that can cook! Then I did some more homework/studying while he watched tv.

It was a pretty good, productive weekend. I almost wish BF was out of the house all day at least twice a month, because it's so much easier for me to be productive when he's not there, haha!

Friday: Worked, got the phone call that BF's gma passed, and dealt with that. Then went out with some friends for my good friends bday that came in from an hr away to hang out with us.

Saturday: Worked, hung at home and did nothing

Sunday: slept till noon - i never do that - and then puttered on the computer, worked on my SS a little bit

I was a complete boring head this weekend.

Friday: "Worked" all day my boss was out and forgot to get stuff for me to do.  So I had to try and find things, I found almost nothing and I did NO homework.  It was terrible.

Saturday: Slept in til 10AM!  OMG that is the latest I have slept in for 6 months!  It was glorious.  Then I did nothing AGAIN (terrible) homework wise but I made bread with my church and that was fun.

Sunday: Went to church.  Hung out with one of my bridesmaids and put my dress on again and I just love it!  MMM!  Did some homework finally and read.

I was watching the Phantom Gourmet yesterday and they had a Mexican restaurant called Agave on there that does that. I don't even like guacamole but that show makes me so freaking hungry!

My weekend:
Friday I came home from work and read up on all the posts that I had missed here for a couple of days because I'm a loser like that. BF was at a concert with his friends and staying over so I had the bed all to myself.

Saturday afternoon I did laundry, went food shopping and then BF got home. He didn't have to work (he doesn't get weekends off) so we spent the afternoon and night waching a movie and catching up on all our DVR shows. Oh and I had some drinks. It was awesome just getting to relax and spend a weekend night with him!

Yesterday I watched Tv, took a nap, went to dinner with a friend and then tossed and turned all night becaause I couldn't sleep. Oh and I also spent a good part of the day trying to get on the damn Knot so I could get an update on the G2g!
