Do any of you know Newport, RI very well? I need to look into places to stay and places to go out to.

I think this is what we will end up doing for my friend's bachelorette. It was really this (because the proposal was here) or going out in Boston on a party bus, but then the underage wedding party attendants couldn't be included. This way, we plan to hang out in Newport during the day, shopping and checking out the mansions, maybe all go out to dinner, and then the MOH and whatever friends she brings can head back to the hotel we stay at and they can hang out, while the older group goes out for a few drinks. So far, more people appear to be into this idea than Boston.

Any insight you all have is greatly appreciated :) Thanks!

    I do not know the area, but it sounds like a great idea. I will likely have underage girls in my someday wedding party as BF and I both have much younger sisters. I think it is really nice you all are considering them in the plans.

    I've been there many times as a kid/young adult so I can't help with places to check out, other than to say it's beautiful there and make sure you tour some of the mansions!
