How do you feel about hats?

I love hats! I have about 8 winter styles, 2 big floppy summer hats, a big floppy wool hat for fall and at least a dozen baseball style caps.

I've never thought of wearing hats to work, I usually wear them on weekends. But, I just had a woman come into my office on a sales call wearing a hat. It looked kind of like this but each section was a different "fall" color:

Its actually really nice out today (70 and sunny) so there is no weather related reason for a hat.

Do you like hats? Would you wear one to work? Post pics of hats you love so I can add to my collection, please and thank you! :)

I like the way hats look on me. I feel like I can pull off a range of styles well. But I don't really wear them because for some reason I'm not comfortable wearing them inside, so I would only be wearing them for a little bit at a time when I'm making transitions outside.

Yaga, your curls are beautiful, you should not straighten them!!!! I think curls look great with hats! I prefer it that way actually. Try looks like these:

I love hats, but I can't really pull them off.

I usually only wear knit skullcaps when it gets really cold out.

I always look like a dude in hats.

Or a penis (you know in those certain winter hats).

I am in the crowd that feels they can't pull off hats. I have never really been much into accessorizing though, although I'm working on it now, lol. I also don't like my head to get hot and then I worry about it messing up my hair or making a hat line or something weird like that, lol.

Hats and I just don't jive. They always look awful. I do want a big floppy hat for summer though - I think I could pull that off. In the winter, I rock my hood like it's nobody's business.

I LOVE HATS SOMETHING FIERCE!!! Sorry for the all caps, but I needed to get that out. I have seriously considered moving to London so that wearing hats in all kinds of social occasions is the norm and not some crazy old, red hat lady/church lady thing.

It's warm here, too. in the 70's today, so I haven't had a chance to break out the hats, but I wear all kinds. From baseball caps to fedoras to fascinators. And yes, I'm often the only one wearing a hat. But I wouldn't wear a hat to work (well, throughout the day). If I'm going to be in court, you can't wear hats anyway b/c it's considered disreptful to the judge. Which I get. Some people can't manage to cover their arms or @ss in court so giving up the hats is easy.

Here's a pic of something I saw that I like

These are going to be at Target

These are 4 of my favorite hats (most definitely for style as opposed to warmth, but again, it doesn't usually get that cold here). I have a ridiculous number of hats from floppy sun hats to things like these.
That first hat has no label, but I'm pretty sure it's target. Brown hat is Banana Republic, Next hat is Cynthia Rowley (but I got it for a steal, maybe $10 at Marshall's) and front little thing is a vintage hat I got at a store when I lived in Richmond, Va.

I'm currently eyeing these for this winter from Madewell (<-clicky)

I love hats, but I rarely wear them unless I'm at the beach/pool or in the snow. I bought this beautiful black and white striped beach hat this summer. It packs really well and has a wire brim, so I took it to Mexico with us and wore it almost every day. I used to have a collection of vintage hats from the thrift store but never had an occasion to wear them.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: How do you feel about hats? : Thanks!  I don't straighten it too often - it's a huge PITA and it surprisingly takes forever (although getting a better straightener helped with that).   I just don't like when I put a hat on (again only the winter ones), it flattens my hair so half the curls kind of fall out.  My hair kinks easily - I can't put it up and then try to wear it down later, or tuck it behind my ear.  I need to commit to one style for the entire day.  <strong> Danie - I love all your hats.   You should post pictures of how to wear them. :)</strong>

<div>Thanks! I just have the noggin for hats, though they aren't always successful. I've had plenty of missteps where I looked a fool:) </div><div>
</div><div>I'll definitely post some pics when it gets colder or see if I can't dig some old pics up! </div>

I love hats but I don't wear them I wear a pink princess skull cap in the winter.  I love when I do period shows when hats are involved.  I did a production of Guys & Dolls two years ago and I had hats for each costume they were soooooooooo cute and so much fun.  I wish hats of that era (late 40's early 50's) were in again.

THIS.  Who wouldn't wanna look like a penis?

I have a lot of hats, I like them, but like a lot of others I don't usually wear them inside.  I tend to wear hats mostly in the fall and winter, with the exception of a ball cap (which I have about 6 of which is great for sporting events, or early morning errands on a weekend).

I just bought these two hats in the last few weeks...

Women's Bengals hat...for days that I wanna show my love for my team, without being too in your face with the orange and black stripes.  NWT on Ebay for $8

Columbia fleece lined...not the cutest, but it's warm and cozy and I despise the cold winter weather.
