Happy Monday!

How was everyone's weekend?

Mine turned out better then I thought it would be. I had a great sleepover with my niece who turned five yesterday. Here is a picture of her at her "birthday breakfast" on Saturday morning. I don't have the ones from Friday downloaded yet. She was a blast and I was overtired on Sat. night!

Saturday I spent the afternoon with my mom looking for small items that we'll need for the wedding, we found two of our 9 jars that we will need for the candy buffet (thanks to my boss for giving me some "fun" money this weekend, he paid for those :) ). Later that night I went with my parents to a bar as my stepdad met some new friends and wanted my mom to meet them, well lets just say their son and his five friends kept trying to buy me drinks and one even sent the dad over by me to see if I was single, yup I had a big head that night!

And finally Sunday, I finally accomplished the task of our basement reorganization and sweeping since FI was gone. It took an hour, but its done and now I feel so much better when I walk down there to do laundry. I also got our spare room, or as I call it Maggie's room uncluttered and old papers shredded, stuff set aside for a rummage sale, so very productive day. I also booked our photographer!!! YAY. I am so happy I did it yesterday as I found out she booked 10 weddings this weekend for 2013 and she also had a deal going on that if you booked before March 1 you got an extra $50 towards prints and she even took a percent off the total so all in all I saved $170 by booking her and her rates were lower in the first place!

Wow, sorry that was a tad long!

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Glad you had a great weekend. And happy belated birthday to your niece!

My weekend sucked. I've gone through about every Kleenex in the house with my sinuses acting up, and my ear drum is still ruptured from my flight Saturday. Doctor says it's healing, but I'm ready for it to be healed already.
  • Weekend was ok, despite FI's car issues. I am on pins and needles waiting for the phone call that will tell me when my second job interview is. They want to fill the position ASAP, so it will most likely be soon, probably today! Eeeep!

  • She is just too cute! I'm glad she had a good birthday! It sounds like you had a pretty good, and productive, weekend too! I cleaned and reorganized our kitchen, and threw out some stuff we weren't using. It feels wonderful! Sounds like an awesome deal with the photographer too! Congratulations! : )

  • She is super cute. I was asking her questions and she looks at me and said "aunty, you can save your questions and ask me them when I sleep over at your house" my mom and I burst out laughing.

Hulu, you get better soon! How was the trip?

Bside- good luck on your interivew, just saw on FB you got the call about a time!

Ely, it does feel great. And yes, I was super excited when she wrote the amount on the contract and I almost questioned it but she wrote the amount of hours we want too so I was just like w/e!

  • Your niece is adorable!

I've been having a decent weekend.  Lots of rehearsals which kind of sucked, but Saturday we went to the mall & Out to dinner.  Last night we went to a friend's house for game night, so we played the kinect and some board games.  Lots of fun, today is just some relaxing on my day off.  I got to sleep in yay!

  • Stina - Trip went well, although the weather was cold and rainy the entire week there. Figures the one week of rain San Diego gets all year would be the week I come to visit. FI and I got moved into our new apartment, though. It still lacks a lot of furniture, but we got our bedroom stuff at least. :)

IKEA, ftw. Also, their swedish meatballs are heavenly.
  • My weekend was AWESOME! Saturday was a lazy day, sat around, did some work on the bathroom we're renovating, played Skyrim, studied a bit. Yesterday BF and I did our valentine's day celebration, went for a couple's massage at my favourite spa, which just happens to be one of the nicest spas in Canada, if not North America. Then we had the AMAZING brunch buffet at the hotel where the spa is. I tried lamb for the first time!

Last night we went out for drinks and appetizers with my sister and her friend. They're in town for Reading week (Canadian Spring Break). Went to a restaurant where my parents got these red envelope things (basically, they give you an envelope that you have to open when you return to the restaurant at a later date, your server opens it and you get a prize, they had things like free dessert/appetzers, 5% or 10% off your bill, a 3D tv or a 4 course meal for 2 including wine). My parents forgot to use the 2 they got before going on vacation and said me and my sister could each have one. Well we went last night and BF and I won the 4 course meal! We're going to see if we can take my parents and turn it into a 4 course meal for 4 instead of 2 and split the cost for the extra 2 people and bring my parents. I'm looking forward to it and so is BF. The restaurant has really good prime rib...
