WR Questions and AW

Need opinions on the following:

1. Signature mocktail drinks. I've chosen a few and put them in my bio (Mint Juleps, Cape Codders, Lemonade with Blueberries and Iced Mochas) Thoughts? Other suggestions? Hate any of them? How is the variety?

2. What contents should go into the restroom baskets?

3. For the coffee bar - I am thinking of getting some flavored syrups and mocha powder. Any other ideas?

And a big hooray/check: FFIL has been at his job for 35 years and got to pick from an array of gifts. He gave the option to us, so we picked the video camera! We were GOING to get one as a wedding gift to each other in order to video some of our wedding day, and now we don't have to buy one!

I hope I don't get off all my pain meds next week and realize that all my DIY is crap.

Thank you signs to take pic with for our TY cards

As always, all of your projects look perfect.  I love everything!  You're making the hangers yourself?  They look great.

    1.  They sound delicious!

    2.  For the bathroom basket I would include pain killers, dental floss, band aids, tums/pepto bismol, a selection of feminine products, hair spray, nail files, some hair combs, bobby pins, hair rubber bands, tissues, mints or gum...I've also seen baby powder and spray on deodorant.

    3.  Syrups and powders sound good.  I also like having those chocolate covered peppermint sticks to use as stirring sticks.

Ditto on the peppermint sticks! Ana's also got your restroom baskets covered.

I have video camera envy. :) That's so nice of your FFIL!

The mocktails sound delish, esp. the lemonade! I think that is fantastic variety, personally. Fruity to coffeish. Yum!

    DIY is amazing, as always.

I loooove the name hangers. Ordered a similar one off etsy for myself. :)

    1. Maybe virgin daquiris? I think your list looks great though!

    2. To add to Ann's list: wisps (those little tooth brushes) and clear nail polish (for runs in stockings).

There were a few girls on the DIY board who have lists in their bios but I don't think I saved them. If you feel like you're missing something they will be able to help you over there!

    3. Whipped cream! Mmmm, my coffee is brewing right now and I wish I had some fun stuff to put in it!

Also, your DIY stuff looks great! Not that I'm surprised or anything!

Little marshmellows would be a good addition to the coffee bar. I don't know where you can buy (Sam's club maybe?) Not to be bad but, you can always steal the container from the 7-11 coffee area.

I am hiring you and Mutley for my wedding. No joke.  Your DIY stuff is AMAZING!! (As always;))

Ditto on the whip cream and marshmellows for coffee!

A friend of mine had some different types of body spray (like the dove scented stuff) in her bathroom basket.  It was a cute way to freshen up.  Also safety pins!

Ditto Paige - you are amazing! Will you be available in 6-12 months? :) Nice work! I think you'll be pleased sans pain killer.

I'm slightly disgusted by how adorable everything is, mostly at my own DYI failings.
I love anything lemonade, so that looks wonderful. Are you having a soda bar too? If so, you could get vanilla flavor and raspberry flavor to add to the soda and the hot chocolate. I actually have a marshmallow recipe, I will try it out to see how hard/ easy it is. If it's super easy, that can be your wedding gift from me! I think they also sell heart shaped marshmallows, but I kinda don't see that for you.

I now want lemonade with blueberries.  Those all sound delicious.

I love all of the little details.  You are kicking serious DIY booty!

The more I see, the more I want to crash.  Your guests are certainly in for a treat!

I think they're kinda adorable. The Cape Cod one made my mouth water a little bit. :)

    2. What contents should go into the restroom baskets?

Mens - mints, gum, comb, hair spray, spray deoderant, spray cologne (like Axe), hand lotion, lint brush, pain reliever (Tylenol, Aleve, etc.), bandaids, Kleenex, Tide-to-Go, hand sanitizer, contact solution

Womens - mints, gum, brush, hairspray, pads, tampons, spray deoderant, body spray, bobby pins, hair bands, safety pins, nail file, hand lotion, clear nail polish, lint brush, pain reliever (Tylenol, Aleve, etc.), bandaids, Kleenex, Tide-to-Go, hand sanitizer, contact solution

    3. For the coffee bar - I am thinking of getting some flavored syrups and mocha powder. Any other ideas?

Powders and syrups are always good. Syrups - try almond, hazelnut, cinnamon, and peppermint, those are always good with coffee. Powders, I would get a regular mocha and a white mocha, maybe a caramel? Having whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and chocolate/caramel sauce to swirl would also be fun.

I love hetshup's idea of a soda bar! My mother used to own a little cafe and she was famous for her Italian sodas - basically seltzer with flavored syrups. Get Torani syrups - they have a bajillion flavors, and you can mix and match them! My mother's favorite for her coffee was Chocolate mixed with Banana. One of her waitresses put the Cherry syrup in her hot chocolate.

The best ones for soda are Kiwi, Mandarin Orange, Strawberry, Lime and Pink Grapefruit. The best ones for coffee are Irish Cream, Amaretto, Chocolate Milano, Hazelnut and English Toffee.

As for the bathroom baskets -- antacids and Tylenol or Advil. I went to a wedding once where right in the middle of everything I got hit with a sinus headache, but no one had any Tylenol. My mother had to ask one of the wait staff for some. Also, Tide Pens - those are amazing.

Also, there's a coffee company called Big Train that makes white hot chocolate. It's very hard to find but oh my Gaga is it incredible.

    1.  I think you have a great variety of drinks - I think you should allow all of us to come crash your wedding!!

    2. Maybe I overlooked it, but did anyone mention putting feminine products in your bathroom baskets?  i.e. tampons & pantyliners.  Just a thought!

    3.  A coffee bar too?!  OMG.... this is going to be the best wedding EVER.

Congrats on the video cam - that ROCKS.  Oh and of course all of your DIY stuff is friggin awesome - loooove it all!!
