Yes! I'm VERY excited!!! (Especially since I got over that awful little freak out the other day).

Today is my late day, so Andrew and I went to breakfast and to look at a few electric fireplaces that I'm dying to put in our main guest bedroom.

I'm getting off tomorrow at around 3 PM- and Andew and I are going to primer/paint our kitchen and bathroom. Maybe we'll get take out chinese?

It really feels like a huge new chapter in our life. I'm happy. :)

I cant wait to show you all pictures once we get our furniture moved in! The movers are coming Saturday and our new furniture is being delivered Monday.

I still have no idea what to do with that 55 inch tv in the "den" (i.e. fireplace room/family room). Andrew is thinking we might need to block a window- which I think may look kinda silly. Guess we'll find out. :)

    ZOMG!!!!!!!!!

And yeah, even if you removed the mantle you couldn't wall mount the tv over the fireplace, right? It seems too small to hold a 55".

I'm so excited for you lunar! Glad things are working out!

Yeah- the thing is a total monster...I like it though- and I hope I'm eventually happy with the layout of the room.

That's exciting!  Oh the dilemma of where to put the t.v.....  BF keeps asking to hang ours on the wall... but I hate the exposed wire look (or the "wire coverup" that's obviously covering wires).

I work for a builder and we actually just punched a hole in the wall behind the TV and fished the wires down to the outlet. That way you can't see it and you have a hole the size of a quarter that you can repair later if you need to :-) Just a thought.

    YAY!!!!!!!

Lunar I am so so so so excited for you!!!!!

What about one of those fireplaces that are also a TV stand?  I actually bought my parents one a couple years ago when they moved.  I think it was from Sears.  It's a dark wood, the fireplace is in the center & the TV sits on top of that part.  Then on either side of the fireplace are shelves. I wish I could get a picture for you but they live 3 hours away haha

Well- we have a built in real fireplace in the "den." The electric fireplace is for the guest bedroom.

Here are some pictures of the den:

So you can see there is only one window on the left wall...right in the middle. Bummer.

I know I need to think out of the box...
Where to put it...where to put it...

Oh- and there is a fish tank right now (well- probably not right now, because the house should be empty...muwaha) on the opposite wall of the fireplace:

I personally love windows & a lot of light so it would kill me to cover up that window.  Would it not fit in the space where they have the fish tank? Or even in that space but maybe not flush up against the wall there if it wouldn't fit exactly, kind of catty-cornered (sp?)?

It would probably fit there- but then all the furniture would be facing away from the fireplace- and that would make me sad. :(

I think you're going to have to put the TV on the wall where the fish tank was. Either that, or make the front room the actual TV room and the fireplace room a gathering room instead.
