Boy or Girl?

One of my girlfriend's is pregnant and she finds out today if they're having a boy or a girl! I've been worried that this happened a little too soon for them, but she sounded so excited and happy on the phone last night that I'm not beaming with happiness for them!

Anywho, I want to get her a "you're having a (boy/girl)!" gift. She's coming to my girl's night out b-day party next Saturday, so I thought i'd give it to her then. Any ideas on what to get??

Give me an idea for a boy or a girl or both! I'll come back tomorrow when I know what she's having and get some ideas!

oh - and this is a bit of a P&R as i'm leaving in about 15 minutes...but i promise i'll check back first thing tomorrow!

I would go with some type of a sweet food item.  Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cakeballs.

Maybe a pair of gender-appropriate shoes? Like some little high tops or vans for a boy and a pretty pair of mary janes for a girl. Something about baby shoes makes pregnant women swoon
If you go with clothes or seasonal shoes, just remember to take the child's age during the season into consideration. I got a whole bunch of awesome fall and winter clothes that my son can't wear cause its all 3 to 6 month, the age he was during the summer!

You could totally make it yourself too.  And obviously, blue if it's a boy or pink if it's a girl.  It has washcloths, onesies, etc. in it so all useful things!
