Hi everyone! I thought I should introduce myself. I have been checking out The Knot for a few years and as marriage is getting closer for me I think it is time to start connecting with poeple like me!

I am 28 and have been dating my BF for about 6 years. He is younger then me and just got his first teaching job so we are waiting a bit until he has worked and saved up some money. In the past 6 years we have probably talked about everything possible that deals with marriage and what we both want for the future. We both want the same things, it's just a matter of timing.

It can be very frustrating at times as my friends are getting engaged and married left and right! We have also decided not to live with eachother before we are marred so that can be tough. Although I know he is "the one" and worth the wait!!

    Welcome! Where in upstate are you? I'm in Syracuse. I'm also a teacher in my first year. So yeah, welcome!

    Ditto KD, where in upstate? I grew up in Rochester, getting married in the Finger Lakes (I've been living in Boston for 6 years now). My FI and I also do not live together, so I totally understand the boat you are in.

    I am in Rochester also. I love Boston, went to school there for a semester. So many things would be easier if we lived together but those are the choices we make right?

    Awesome! I went to college right outside of Rochcha! And yes, those are the choices you make and only you can decide what is right for you!

    TTC since 10/2010. 2012: HSG showed unicornuate uterus on right side; both kidneys and both ovaries present. High risk for preterm labor, IUGR, and C-Section. Dx'd Hypothyroidism.
    1st BFP: 10/27/12, cycle before we had planned to see RE

    Eh, I've been on here a while (has it really been almost 2 years since I started lurking as a MOH?!  I seriously didn't post until I'd been lurking for 6 months because I was terrified of being labled BSC, even though I was here legitimately helping a friend plan her wedding). 

    I've seen a lot in that time though, and it's always nice to see sane people.

    Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I was afraid I would be labeled BSC! While I have my crazy moments, BSC I am not! It feels so nice already to have some people that know where I am coming from by being NYE. I also LOVE hearing about everyone's wedding plans!! I get some great ideas for when my time comes.
