Bummed

My doctor just called & my pap came back abnormal again this year.  I think I've mentioned this before but last year my pap was abnormal & I tested positive for HPV.  I went in for a colposcopy & bioposy & my doctor said everything was OK, it would go away on it's own, nothing needed to be treated.

I'm not really "scared" I don't think, I've done this before. But the entire thing still makes me uneasy.  Also, I hated having that biopsy.  It HURT. And waiting to find out what was going on was scary as hell.

So today I am not a happy camper. I'm bummed & sad & concerned & annoyed I think. I'm trying to push it out of my mind because my colposcopy isn't scheduled for 5 weeks from today.

I want something funny. Pictures, jokes, stories, etc. Gimme what you got.

RDR - this happened to me too... mine kept going up higher grades, and eventually I had to have a LEEP. Stupid HPV.

Funny story - I did a pin-up/boudoir shoot for BF last night. 1. I'm a monster, and if I don't lose weight soon, I'm going to jump off the roof. 2. I am as awkward as awkward can be, and made the funniest possible faces - not even on purpose. I looked like a combination of this:

    And this:

True story. Luckily my photographer is a good friend, and is letting me have a do-over. Ugh.

rdr - I went through the exact same thing about five years ago. I had to get paps every 3 months, I had the biopsy/scraping procedure (it hurst just THINKING about it). The abnormal cells ended up going away on their own, it just took lots of doctors visits and labs to get through it. Don't let it worry you on a day to day basis. Stress will do you no good :(

We're here if you want to talk about it though...

Thanks everyone!!!! I really needed a good laugh today :)

Bri, I'm sure you looked hot hot hot!!

Tiger, it's nice to know someone else knows the feeling. It's really hard for me to pinpoint it exactly, KWIM? Hopefully the outcome is the same as last year & he won't want/need to do anything until my next annual.  I am really, really not looking forward to the biopsy again at all so I can't imagine having it every few months :( I take it you're ok now??

ETA: I just bought this coat for 50% off!!!  A little retail therapy can never hurt :)

I actually have my annual (well, actually, my every-six-month) appointment next week... it will be my first since my LEEP, and I'm really hoping everything comes back clear. It really is just a miserable feeling.

That coat is FABULOUS!! Where did you find it? Retail therapy is always an acceptable answer to any bummer day.

*hugs* waiting is always the WORST.

I love that coat you bought!! I'm looking for one like it, except warmer. I'm not sure it would be warm enough for MN winter.  I love it though. So cute!

Thanks so much everyone :) I appreciate your LOLcats & hugs & vibes :)

Swhite, that was hysterical!!!!!!! The other little girls face was priceless at the end LOL

Polk, I'm a little worried about the thickness too. It says it's for winter but we'll see. At the very least I can wear it for another month or so!

I'm sorry you have to go back through those tests for something that will probably go away on its own again, but the jacket you bought is really cute and half off is a great deal!
