I like them both, but I'd probably pick the first one.

Maybe I missed it but are you getting married this fall (2010)?

I like the 2nd one but with a different picture.  That picture doesn't mesh well with the design. (ETA) I think the picture should be more in tune with nature. 
I think the first one is too overdone.

Count my vote for the second one also, I like STDs with pictures too, you can pin them to your fridge like xmas cards and show off your happy attractive friends, haha..

Yeah, we are doing engagement photos. That is actually the only picture that I have with both of us smiling. Normally, one of us is making some strange face. So with a softer maybe b\w photos?

Oh and yes, we have a tentative date (very tentative) of 10/23/2010. That's why I'm all cranky, I'm trying to get the big things done ASAP and everyone on my club board has been engaged for a year and half already. Wedding planning FAIL.

I really like the second one.  I don't know if you were thinking of cropping the pic, but if you cropped it to be mostly your faces (from the shoulders up maybe?), the picture might fit in better with the design IMO.

I like STDs with pics, but I'm honestly not a fan of that pic.  So in the absence of a better picture, I'd go with #1.  Although the "have fallen in love" is a little cheesier than I like.

I never went to my club board for that reason.  It seems as if you have less than a 2 year engagement, you are behind on a club board.

Don't pay attention to them.  You are light years ahead of where I was at this time and I had an Oct wedding.  Hell, I wasn't even engaged yet (so therefore, not planning.)

I think you should get a really nice, softer engagement photo to put on the second one, and it would be great. You need to match the design with an equally sophisticated pic.... and giant margarita glasses aren't really sophisticated. lol

And I want to change my vote to either choice 1 without the "fallen in love" or choice 2 with a less casual picture.  Even though I am a big fan of the punch bowl sized margarita.

hetshup - around here there are a ton open but we're also only looking at Fridays. Good luck finding a place! I will give you the advice my mom gave me before we started looking, you want a good place for a good price but remember, at the end of the day it's about you getting married and you'll have a ball regardless of where you are or what you eat. I agree with the others.  #1 is a little cheesy for my taste, but the picture in #2 is too casual for a save the date even though I like the design more.

My club board is just now sending out save the dates for August, though, so you have some time if you want to hire a photographer and get engagement pictures taken.  Maybe one outside, and get them to put it in a sepia tone to match the fall colors on the save the date?
