Happy update - AW

Hi ladies... I just thought I'd share some of the happy things that have been going on the past few days with me and BF. 

1-We had a long conversation on Sunday that centered around our living situation but also included talk about wedding budgets, and apparently he is VERY interested in having our wedding at one particular place. It was clear he'd been thinking quite a bit about it, which made me smile.

2-This morning he asked me to go back to a jewelry store to get my finger sized again. Apparently he and some friends at work were talking about wedding bands and how they can be sized differently because they are thicker, so he wants me to get my finger sized one more time.

3-He told me this morning that he booked us a three-day weekend at a hotel in Old Town Scottsdale for 4th of July. It's a bit out of character for him to do something like that without discussing it with me, and he had already talked to his mom about coming up to take care of our dogs. So feel free to tell me all the things he's planning on doing that weekend that do NOT include proposing :)

I'm so happy ladies... I know it's coming, and just knowing that it's going to happen has made me a much calmer person. Also, I've really enjoyed talking about it in serious terms, like wedding budgets and locations, rather than in flowery imaginary thoughts.

    Aw yay! Just an FYI - it's not happening that weekend.  He's using that as a decoy to make you think it's happening that weekend.  It could be before, it could be after.

    It sounds like he's serious and he also wants it to be a surprise.  I'm so happy for you and I think it's safe to say that we're all waiting for your AW engagement post :)

    I'm so happy for you tiger! It's great to hear some good news on here today!!!

    I must say though, it makes you calmer  knowing it's coming??? I know my BF will most likely propose this year and I'm having trouble not  thinking about it! Good for you for staying so calm!!!

    And nope, not happening.  He bought you a pony and it lives in a magical field in the middle of a golf course in Scottsdale :)

Before it was all so up-in-the-air and I had no idea if he even thought about it, beyond the few seconds of conversation we'd have. Now I know it's merely a few more months away, even if it doesn't happen on July 4...</div>

    This is good news. It makes me excited to hear about it! I too am looking forward to July 4th. I'll be able to spend it with Andrew's parents for the first time. :)

    Being excited about other people's upcoming engagements allows me not to focus on mine. Hehe.

    HURRAY!!!!!! Just think how nice it was for him to plan such an awesome mini break. And I don't think you want any of us (esp Shoes) to tell you things that your BF is planning on doing than weekend Embarassed!!!

    I can totally understand the calm sensation because I think it'd be a relief to finally know whether I'm on the same page as the boyfriend or not--and it sounds like you do!  That's so exciting!  (And he talked wedding details, SUPER exciting!).

    As for the Fourth of July Weekend... he's taking you out so you can have fun with loud fireworks without having to feel bad about your dogs freaking about the noise.  Oh, and he's buying you a pony. :)

    Yay sounds like a nice weekend you have to look forward to.  Enjoy the vacation and the time together without any expectations.
