Not Engaged Yet

Do you ever have one of those days...

...where your SO just annoys the crap out of you?

Because I'm having one today, and I've only seen him for about 45 minutes total since morning.

He came home for lunch and spent the whole time cleaning the office (where I'm trying to knot in peace).  Shoving stuff around on the desk... handing me things to put in drawers... asking me to look up random stuff online...

Then I ask him a simple question about dinner and it becomes a big dilemma.

I know I'll be happily in love with him again by the time he gets back home, but sheesh.

So yeah, anybody else have those days?

YEs!  Oh god on those days I just want to kill him.  It's so annoying because I want to be around him yet at the same time I don't... such a dilemma.

    Chocolat?

Yup, but it usually doesn't stop at FI, it continues on to any and every one. It is miserable.

Hope you get over the funk by the time he gets home.

Who hasn't? As much as I love BF and as amazing of a man as he is, there are just some times when I need him to please stop talking and go work out or something. I need my me time too! lol

    Oh yea.

I love my BF, but he has to be the fussiest human being alive. He is super high maintenance and frequently out of sorts.

I think it's probably similar to having an ornery toddler.

Oh- you betcha. And I'm super sensitive so noises (See FootNote)- so sometimes Andrew's eating noises drive me BATTY, which leads me to being annoyed at everything.

    Foot Note-

I'm totally wearing earplugs at work today. I'm being horribly distracted today.

I think you can also see the opening in my ring in this picture.

ETA: Oh...totally random- Today some lady came in with a pick in her hair. Didn't that go out of style years ago?

Yesssss..... I'm glad I found this post because yesterday was one of those days... and I kinda needed to vent about it a little, lol.

Seems like sometimes my BF and I don't have the same concept of a "surprise". I was having a bad day and really wanted to see him... just spend a couple of hours with him doing nothing.... other than being together. My BF knows this and tells me he's going to "surprise" me.... so naturally I get really excited that I'll get to spend some time with him. But what does BF do? He shows up at my door that night, with a friend... and tells me we're going to this friend's house because it's his birthday..... Surprise!!! o.O

I was not happy.... I was not ready to go out.... I didn't feel like seeing anyone other than BF after the ugly day I had, didn't feel like dressing up or being all social or anything. I was upset, but didn't want to bring other people (whom I barely know, btw) into our issue...... so I tried my best to still have a good time or at least play it cool even though I didn't wanna be there and just wanted to go home :(. Definitely not a good day.....

At least he got the message...... today he surprised me (this time a good surprise) by bringing me flowers at work and some other snacks. He apologized for last night, but I still don't think he gets why it went wrong.... which means we need to talk! lol

For now at least, I'm in a much better mood........
Sorry for the long message... : />

Yep.  Doesn't happen too often...maybe once ever 2-3 weeks?  He'll annoy the piss out of me for about an hour...and then all will be fine again.

    LOL.

Yeah, it happens. That's why I think it's important to have your own space.  I like the occasional evening alone or weekend morning (while H is still asleep) to watch my TV shows or do another project. Last night I sewed another ballet skirt and did laundry. I felt so productive!

Of course, at first it bothered me when H (then BF) wanted alone time. Now I enjoy it.

And OMG, Lunar, the sound of people eating drives me up the wall. It's terrible. I've left the room on occasion until H was done with his food.

Also funny story: Monday morning I was really grumpy.  I realize now that never living with anyone before I need a good 10-20 mins before I am awake and can say anything nice to anyone.  So FI and I were carpooling to school and for some reason I hadn't woken up yet.  We got into a totally stupid fight which ended when we got to school and he told me I was being grumpy and left for class.  I was grumbling about how I wasn't grumpy and he wrong from for 10 mins.  Then I went to class and forgot all about it.  When I called him after my class I was back to my normal, happy self.  He didn't say anything.  After I hung up I realized that I was supposed to be mad at him.  I realized that I had been grumpy... I hate when he is right.  Gah so I concluded I am Not a morning person!

People who have misophonia are most commonly annoyed, or even enraged, by the sound of other people eating, breathing, coughing, or other ordinary sounds. They are not normally annoyed by sounds that they themselves make. Reactions to these sounds are not limited, however, to just loud eating noises; people with misophonia find themselves affected by all kinds of noises.[4] Such reactions are also involuntary.

Often, people who have misophonia are also annoyed by other people's repetitive movements, such as leg-tapping, nail-biting, and typing.[5]

Sensitivity to these sounds tends to be exacerbated by stress or feeling tired/run-down.

The onset of the symptoms appears to have a characteristic pattern, often in childhood, just prior to or during puberty. Often there is a single trigger initially (a parent or sibling's noises), then the triggers expand over time to include both auditory or visual elements. It is speculated that there is a genetic basis for this disorder as the etiological data supports a similar pattern of emergence. However, this remains to be determined.

Holy COW! That's me!! I sleep with earplugs because I can't stand breathing noises.

I know, right? And they are usually games he's lost, but there's one great part that is 45 seconds out of the whole 1/2 hour game, so we have to watch the whole thing lol. At least I can get away with cross-stitching most of the time :)

Lunar, I have slept with earplugs almost every night for the last 2.5 years because of the noise. I have to go to bed first (by myself) or there's no way I'll fall asleep. The nights I've slept without earplugs are when H is not home.

My H leaves glasses outside on our patio. Almost every glass we had was out there at one point a few days ago. And there are trees and things, so stuff blows into them, and then it rains (yes, even in AZ) and things get stuck. Or he doesn't finish the beverage in the glass and things get stuck.

Our dishwasher is currently FULL of these glasses, with bits still stuck in them.

Meanwhile, the pile of dirty dishes grows.

AND, he is behind on the cat litter, and was all Mr. Martyr saying he'd pick up litter and garbage bags on his way home tonight.

Dude, when was the last time you had to buy either of those things? I'm usually super on top of household supplies. I hate running out of stuff so I usually buy before we do.

PLUS, YOU are the one causing the kitchen back up.

    GRRRRrrrr.

I'm having one of those days today. BF and I had a great evening last night, and then this morning he woke up with a pickle up his bum or something. I came back from the Dr. and he's super grouchy and moody. Unfortunately, he works from home, today is my day off, and it's pouring rain outside so I'm not going to go for a walk or anything to get out of his hair. Looks like it's time to put on my headphones and play on TK until he stops being grumpy. :P
