Not Engaged Yet

There is no wedding... just the mail!

Ok, so my ex-boyfriend adn I got engaged like a year ago. I was so excited that I ran here to the Knot and signed up. We decided not to get married and then broke up a few months ago. The problem is, I'm still receiving a ton of junk mail from wedding vendors! It's making me angry. I don't wanna see it, and I can't get it to stop. Anyone else in this situation? Is there someone I can contact at the Knot?

Thanks

Um.  What makes you think that THIS would be the place to post your vent?

You should be able to cancel your account.  Or you could delete your address.  Or you could just toss out the junk mail without freaking the eff out.

Also, it may not be vendors from TK.  If you ever went to a bridal show, they could be coming from that.

I think you can e-mail member support from TK and just delete your account.

I've never gotten any vendor emails from having a Knot account.  I HAVE gotten vendor calls from going to David's Bridal and doing other wedding stuff.  Block the sender's address, or get a new address for yourself.

I used to get emails but then I switched my account settings and they went away.  Try that.

The only things I've ever received in the mail were from vendors at bridal shows. Are you sure it's coming from the Knot?

If you ever ordered a catalog or signed up for anything wedding-related they could have shared your address. I've been a member of the Knot for a long time and didn't get any junk until after I signed up for other things.

I get e-mails from vendors from the knot. The subject actually states that they are vendors from The Knot. And I definitely never signed up for anything else wedding-related. And even if I had, the subject says, specifically, that they are vendors from The Knot.

I received a couple of pieces of mail after signing up for the Knot, but I was stupid enough to provide my real address when I first signed up (I recently changed it to the address of a random Tim Hortons in Toronto) Though it's possible it came from another website, because boyfriend and I signed up to receive a catalogue from a ring designers website. I assumed it was the Knot selling my address, but if you ladies aren't getting mail then perhaps it is the lovely folks over at Mark Schneider designs.

Either way, what's done is done. Your address it out there, you're probably going to receive mailings for a long time.
