Sh!t my BF/FI/H says...

So, we are in OKC and we are huge Thunder fans. I realize the game is on, but I wanted to tell him a story I read about online.

So, I tell him part of the story and he goes, "babe, why dont you take a quarter and call someone who cares?"

I pause. I make my OMG face. I bust out laughing. He's totally joking and I didn't expect him to say that. Then he gives me a smooch.

What does/has your guy said in the past that is either funny, naive, or douchey in a good way?

SO loves to read philosophy & political science books, on the grounds that he believes it's important stuff for him to know (he's a union activist), and he brought one with him on a visit to me at grad school. It was my birthday & we had tickets to a Mizzou football game, which was really exciting for both of us, except that when it was time for us to leave, there he was, reading. I more or less dragged him out the door, and he was cranky for like half an hour. 

Me: "You'd think I'd interrupted you masturbating or something."

Him: "It's more important than masturbating! Especially when I'm getting laid!"

Face palm.

Just listening to BF play video games keeps me entertained. He talks himself up sometimes, and reacts vocally to his games.

He's actually playing Donkey Kong Country 2 on an emulator on his laptop and is super into the game...

He just turned to me and asked what I was doing, I told him that I'm on TK and he turned back to his game,"Oh... that sounds boring."

My boyfriend is a HUGE Superman guy (so much so that he wants to name our first born son Kalvin Lewis, so that we can call him Kal El, which is Supermans REAL name... we are still in negotiations).

But things I have learned since dating his is that comic books come out on Wednesday, and that you sign up for their frequent buyer club and they will have ALL the comic books you usually purchase set aside. So every Wednesday night he comes home and starts talking about allllll his comic book stuff. I try to pretend I understand. But usually I just pet his head and tell him I love him, but I never stop him because he get so excited. He's just a huge kid at heart!

Matching capes his mom got for him and his nephew for Christmas... Jon was definitely more excited about his!

my H was all, "okay just a second"...  "can you bother me later, please?" during the Thunder game last night.  then he stayed up till 1 AM watching highlights.  :-\  totally get you, Jordan.  except, he was kind of serious.  so intense!

This weekend while we were in Vegas, I went into the casino bathroom and H waited outside and held my drink.  I came out and said "I love you" and then he said "I spit in your beer".

There was a girl waiting for someone and she had the most offended look on her face and I just busted out laughing.  It was hillarious.  So now that's been added to our repitoire of inside jokes...

BF and I have a gazillion weddings to go to this year.  A large portion of them are in the Fall and on Saturdays.  BF's reaction to this:

"Why would anyone in their right mind have their wedding on a Saturday in September or October?  Don't they know it's college football season!?!"


Yeah, he's just a little insane about his sports.

My BF has purchased the ring (long story on how I know, and NO, I did not snoop)

The jewler (BC Clark if you wanted to know) has this deal that if it rains/snows over 1" on your wedding day, they will reimburse up to 5k of the ring. BF told me last night (WOW he was on a roll!) that he hopes we can agree on a month where it's rainy or snowy so he gets that money back.

one of my friends and his wife actually got their rings free because it rained!  :)

I'm good friends with one of the guys who works there...  B.C. Clarks is such a nice jewelers.  I love it.
