It's been a long time...

I haven't been on here in quite some time...I think the last time I was on here I thought my ex might propose soon... so to catch everyone up, *thankfully* that didn't happen and I broke up with him and have a wonderful new man in my life these days.  We live in Seattle where he grew up and where I went to college, but now I'm moving home to NC...and he's following me! I am very excited, things are very up in the air as far as exact dates but we will be leaving sometime in the next three months pending housing logistics.  Annnnd the reason I'm posting this: for new years I asked him about his five and one year plans and guess what was on the one year plan? Asking me to marry him   So here I am, hoping you ladies can talk me out of being BSC while I so impatiently wait for what I now know is coming.

Thanks everyone! I am 24, graduated from the University of Washington in 2010 with a degree in Communication and Human Rights (part of the law program) which I have done nothing with (I looked for a job for a while and then decided to just go back to school and have continued my nannying job from when I was a student).  We're moving back to NC so that I can go to either UNC or ECU for Clinical Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy (applications are almost in and then it will just depend on which lets me in/gives me more money).  My beau is older, 36, and has been sort of a jack of all trades most of his life.  Right now he seems to have found his niche as the director of development for a nonprofit.  When we met, neither of us were looking for anything, he has been the chronic bachelor all his life and I was in the middle of dating as many people as possible because I had never done that before and hating it.  I intern at the nonprofit he works at, someone there set us up, and when he called I nicely shut him down (too old, mainly). 
But then a couple weeks later we somehow ended up hugging innocently and I couldn't stop thinking about it so I...ummm...booty called him that night, gave him a huge speech about how I would NOT date him, I would be friends with benefits maybe, etc. 
...So that lasted about 2 days and now here we are, very much dating, very happy (a lot of the time) and moving cross country together.
