Haha, in Las Vegas I can usually tell which people are tourists from states like Minnesota. They wear shorts in the 50-60 degree weather while most Las Vegans are complaining that it's way too cold.

My vagina just got goosebumps at the thought of that.

Haha, I live in southern Alabama, and I can tell the out of towners because they come up to me in the summer asking how I can stand to wear jeans in 100 degree heat.

Based on where she said she got goosebumps, I think you should be saying "you're welcome" instead of apologizing.

Me too!  I live in North Alabama.  People freak about the humidity down south, but in all honesty I hate southern summers!  But I still wear jeans because I don't want to scare people with my ugly freakishly white legs :) (but they are white only because I wear jeans, hmmm...weird) We have several inches of snow still and I'm loving it!!

You know how you can tell the tourists or new arrivals around here? It's 40 degrees in the and they're bundled like it's the dead of winter with - 20 with a - 20 windchill.

You know you've lived in MN for too long when it hits 40 for the first time in the spring you leave your coat at home because it's so warm out.

Way to go Kat! Did you get completely dumped on with snow in that recent storm?

Elle - you have a good point.

Marley - That made me think of a shirt I had in 8th grade (and only wore when I lived in MA) it said "I'm a Minnesota girl and I can kick your butt." Yeah I thought it was awesome. I was lame.

    I would totally have worn that shirt in eighth grade. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

I think it's funny when an out-of-towner comes and has a different license plate and drives like 10 miles per hour on a 40 because they're so scared of the snow. I like speeding past them thinking "come on! This isn't florida! We know how to drive in snow!!"

Oh man don't get me started on drivers in the snow. I am sick, so sick of people getting in left lane (mainly on 77) and then proceed to go 40 - 45 with no one in front of them. Makes me want a truck with a cattle pusher to get them out of the way.
