Ideas for beef broth?

Last night I made Carne Mechada (Venezuelan shredded beef) for dinner and I had the flank steak in the crockpot all day with delicious flavors. Well, after I took the meat out the liquid left behind was like a beautiful beef broth and I just could not throw it out!

So, now I am wondering if any of you wonderful women has a kick-ass recipe that uses beef broth. TIA :)

Oh yeah, here is the recipe.

Carne Mechada:

Turn on crock pot and add 2 tbs soy sauce, 2 tbs bbq (I like Sweet Baby Ray's sweet and spicy), 2 tbs teriyaki, 1 tbs ketchup, a good pinch of salt , 1/2 tsp of horseradish and 1/2 cup hot water, then mix it all around.

Next, lay in a skirt or flank steak and add enough water to cover. I then stab down the meat with a fork to mix the flavors around and poke plenty of holes in the meat.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

After cooking meat turn to off and begin sauce.

Take, 3 cloves garlic smashed, 2 large tomatoes rough chopped, 1/2 white onion rough chopped and 1 red pepper rough chopped. and cook with 2 tbs of olive oil on medium low heat until everything is mushy (about 15min).
(I use the lid on my pot to help mush everything with steam.)

Take meat out of the liquid and chop and shred as needed (should fall apart pretty easy now)

Add 1 cup of beef cooking liquid to veggies and simmer for 5 more minutes.

I then use an immersion blender to make the veggies into a sauce. Add meat to this sauce and let simmer on low for another 10 min.

I serve with black beans, avocado and tomato slices, and either Cachapas (clicky), Arepas (clicky), or rice. Tortillas would be tasty too.

Enjoy :)

Um have beef drips?   Get roast beef and French rolls and Swiss cheese.  Dip meat in roast beef and place in microwave for 30 sec or until warm.  Brown rolls in the oven.  Spread mayonnaise on the roll.  Place meat and cheese on it.  Serve with warm Au jus!  Delicious!

I made a pantry veggie soup the other day with beef broth as the base.

sautee onion, celery, carrot, garlic in olive oil.  however much you want, I don't measure for this.

add beef broth and bring to a boil.  then I just add whatever...  a can of white Great Northern beans, can of red kidney beans, (beans should be drained) some frozen mixed vegetable, a can of stewed tomatoes (chop them up a little bit), can or frozen corn, can or frozen or fresh green beans...  LOTS of dried or fresh spices (basil, oregano, parsely, savory, whatever!).  let it come to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.

simmer for a while (30-45 minutes), then add some chopped red potatoes with skin.  let it simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are ready.

sometimes I'll add a little bit of pasta, or pre-cooked rice.

we ate off of it for lunches and whatnot for a week, and then I froze a few small bowls to eat later.

You could always do a beef stew- I love making one with some stout, beef chunks, kidney beans, zuchinni and mushrooms. You can add whatever else you like/have lying around and the stout isn't even necessary- just adds some really good flavor imo. That's why soup is so great- just throw it all in a pot and something great comes out!
