Blizzard. Lovely.

It was 65 degrees Monday. I sat outside in yoga pants and T shirt to let the dog play. Last night it started to snow and we woke up to 12 inches. It's 20-something degrees.

I will NEVER figure out the weather here! Luckily BF is working from home today. I doubt our 'hood will be plowed for several hours.

Allusive and Lunar - how are you doing?

You could have some of ours. 1/4 mile visibility, blowing snow, very cold... and we're supposed to get another inch per hour until noon.

Even the pup - who loves snow - ran back in the house. It's hard to potty when your tush is hanging in the snow. I hear anyway. I've never tried to potty with my tush in the snow.

I hate snow & winter. That really sucks!!

We got a couple inches here on Saturday which is really abnormal for this time of the year for us.  I had to go to the basement to breakout my winter coats to bundle up, I was really unprepared. I hope it's not a preview of what's to come this winter :(

I'll take your snow!  All of it!  (Course my neighbors here in Kansas might hate me... but still!)  I'd rather have snow and cold than just cold any ol' day of the week.  But I am from Alaska, so maybe that makes me a touch freakish.

We only have a couple of inches, but the snow has stuck to the road and I will NOT go down the hill on Austin Bluffs. I drive an automatic so the only way for me to slow down is braking...which just doesn't sound desirable.

We got a tiny bit of snow over the weekend, but other parts of the state got hit hard and it's taking a toll on my weekend so far. I coach a cheerleading team and we made it to the regional qualifier, which is 2 hours away this weekend. The hotel we booked doesn't have any power right now and has no access to their computers, and we can't find out if our reservation is still there! I'm freaking out hoping they still have all our info, because I would HATE to drive 2+ hours to find out they don't!!

Boo. I looked at my forecast tonight--and there's a chance of "rain/snow/wind" with no chance of accumulation. Craptacular. I just get a gross mix of cold, windy goop.

I am not a fan of cold weather or snow...luckily we have high of 68 and sunny today.  Forecast calls for highs in the 60's and mostly sunny through Saturday...wooohooo!  We do get snow, a decent and at least a few days where things get shut down because of it, but typically not until Nov or Dec.

Dwest - never knew I'd miss NKY so much! UGH. The snow would be better if I didn't have these stupid crutches. Then I could go play with the pup outside.

We received 6-8 inches here in Denver... and it was enough to close BF's school district. I, meanwhile, have to trudge around on campus today from 7 AM to 8 PM.. -.- AND I left my homework in the car, so I get to stumble through the slop to go get it, several light rail stations away. Grr!

Can I steal some of the love of snow from those who wish they had it? =/

Damn we really picked the wrong part of the state to live in, didn't we? Lunar got a few inches. Book got 6-8. It's still snowing up here.

My guess is that you live on the "wrong" side of Palmer Divide.

    It's still snowing here...but we'll probably only get 5 inches...max.

I took a pretty asss backwards route to work, but I wanted to get on the emergency routes that were totally clear- and I was darn happy with my decision.

Wait what's the wrong side of the Palmer Divide? Is the Divide basically at Monument? Why don't they put this crap in the real estate posting? :)

J/k. We would have bought this house anyway because we love the area. I work from home and bf can work from home when the weather sucks, so... oh well. ;)

Check this out! Still doesn't say which is "wrong" side but very helpful to me as a newb.

I'm pissed I have to go down to campus for one stupid class just to listen to other people give their boring presentations. I went last week so I just have to sit there. the professor is super strict about attendance otherwise I would just skip.

In this pic you can see that most of the rain/snow stays on the right side of the "palmer-divide"...there is no "wrong" side per se...just depends on how much snow you want. :)

I love snow...as long as I don't have to go outside and deal with it. I've heard it's supposed to be a bad winter...
