Not Engaged Yet

Good morning all you beautiful ladies!

I want to drop in for a bit today and say hey to all of you, because I miss it here!

How have you guys been? Any big changes that I've missed? I've seen a few of them, but I'm sure I missed some! New jobs, new houses, anybody move away? Who still posts here regularly? Has anybody left?

So guess what I'm starting today? Personal training! Back in the summer when I first tried to get on track by myself, I ended up feeling TERRIBLY discouraged and just completely gave up (and probably put on more weight in the meantime). So I did my research, and found a place with excellent personal training programs and I'm actually really excited to start! They do fitness and nutritional counselling, and I know a couple people who go there so that's pretty cool :)

And as of last week, my law school applications are in! Eek! It's kind of scary, but I'm relieved to have that part done at the same time. Now we just play the waiting game...

I've been fairly busy with school and volunteering, plus my book blog which ended up requiring way more time than I thought it would... but I really love it! It's so much fun, and I've met some incredible people thought it as well!

What?! I missed BOTH of you guys getting married? Now I'm sad and feel badly! I knew they were coming soon, I'm just forgetful :( Boo.

    Congratulations to you both!

The personal training is actually an early Christmas gift from my grandparents haha! It's kinda cool though :) I had a free consultation with the owner and I was just really pleased with it overall. It sounds like he takes a good approach with this, which is something I'm looking for.

Welcome back! Not sure if you remember me. I was a newbie/posted far less when you were more active, but I'd thought I'd share anyway. I passed the bar last month! I think you'll really like law school (after that first year! Haha! Nobody likes that first year, but stick with it)! BF and I are doing well. Nothing out of the ordinary and celebrating 2 years in January.

I don't have anything else fun to add so I just thought I'd say welcome back!

Danie, of course I remember you haha! It's more of the new-new people I don't recognize. :)

Congrats on passing the bar! That must feel great :) I think I'd really like law, but we'll just see how this goes from here. I don't think first year of anything is that great TBH lol.

Leia & Chels - you both were stunning! Everything was so beautiful :) I love how pretty everything looked and how it all came together.

Yay! I love my blog to pieces <3 It's mostly Young Adult, but there is so much out there!

The best part about it though is meeting all these people who LOVE to talk about books - I've never met anyone like that before so it's exciting! And I've rediscovered my life of reading :)

Seriously, I'm impressed that you are able to do some much reading or even have an interest in it with uni. It wasn't until my last year of uni that I had an interest in fun reading again...textbooks really killed that for a long time. I now keep track of every book I've read since uni because I so easily forget the authors I like.

I was actually concerned whether I could keep it up with school- but it's working out well. I reward myself with reading time if I get my homework done on time. And I use it as a little escape from everything else going on.

I think that's one of the big reasons I mainly read YA- I do enough grown up reading for school. I just want something fun and light that I can whiz through quickly and really ENJOY.

I've been wondering how law school might impact it BUT I actually know quite a few involved book bloggers who keep it up in uni/professional school. So that gives me hope!

If you can manage during your BA then you'll definitely be able to manage during lawschool. As you are working it in as a reward and escape method, I think you'll do great!

When do you find out about law schools? My old roommate goes to U of T and I know a lot of people that have gone to McGill and U of O.

Are there a lot of Ontario bloggers? Also, no worries about YA, I love that stuff myself because it is an easy read for me. Reading economics, industry specific and international trade stuff on a daily basis means I need that sort of thing, otherwise I'll never finish a book. I just wish they had adult covers because the YA ones have no appeal to me so I need direction when it comes to choosing a new read.

I'm since done with school (for now), but when I was in school I read a TON of YA for this reason exactly!

I'm so glad you came back to say hi!  And I'm glad that you're doing well!

Nothing life-altering happening here though :)  Just a 4 year anniv tomorrow!  Is it bad we're not doing anything about it until this weekend?  Haha, probably not.
