WSG

After being without crossfit now for almost 2 months, I'm starting to feel plump. Last night I decided I had to start walking every day. Well I connected my Nike reciever to my iphone 4s, set up my settings, and off I went. Although expensive, there is something motivating about having electronic gadgets to exercise with. Or does that make me a microprocessor whore?

I decided to try running....

I ran a whole mile without stopping! I'm so proud of myself! I couldn't stop smiling last night, and I even convinced FI to run with me on Saturday. Goal for Saturday: mile and a HALF!

My other motivation is that I have my first alteration appointment next Wednesday. SQUEE!

What is motivating you this week?

My iPod shuffle is supposed to show up today. I'm eagerly awaiting the fedex man, and I might give him a hug when he gets here.

After my past week of running completely sucking balls, I got back to 3.1 miles yesterday! And my 5K is on the 12th! So, that's my motivation. I had an awesome run yesterday!

I have a great 5K app on my iPhone. That and Pandora are all I need for a really enjoyable workout.

But ugh. Yesterday, I made chocolate chip toffee cookies to cure my irritable mood and it worked, but...

...I ate 10 of them. TEN. I don't even know how that's possible.

I'm known to eat cookies like that when I'm flowing. If I bake, I have to take at least half to work, else we eat it all in 2 days.

FI just kept bringing them to me. I was playing on the computer, and every time he passed through the kitchen he was like "Want another cookie?"

They were delicious, so yes, I wanted another one. And pretty soon the whole dozen was gone and he only ate two. Geeeeeez.

I met with a trainer on Wednesday and came up with a pretty good work out for me to start with. I'm pretty excited because I was sore and tired after, but didn't feel like crap. My motivation is a boudoir photo shoot booked for spring time :) I don't want to be all gross and pudgy with rolls in the pics.

I had a burger two days ago and then fasted yesterday and was going to ease back into eating healthy with some Subway, lol, but then the chocolate covered strawberries came to me and I had to try one of each. I'm up to 4 now.

My ring usually motivates me lately because I see it when I'm shoving food into my mouth, but after hours and hours of not eating, I was blinded by the chocolate, lol. I'm going to try to do better the rest of the day. I still have half of my sandwich for dinner and then we'll probably be too busy to eat. We have a Halloween party to go to, but I'm going to try to stay out of the food!

Another huge motivation was trying on dresses last night and the comment about my hips that the dress lady made.

Elle: I totally know what you mean about 10 cookies. I've been there. That's why I don't bake, lol.

Oh, and I love my Nike+ program. I'd never have made it up to do my half marathon without it. For some reason I feel like if the little electronic device doesn't keep track of my mileage/pace/calories burned, then it didn't really happen, lol.

I am motivated by wanting to get healthier to help my current medical issues and for my vacation in December. I literally had slices of cake and whole pumpkin pies in my office at work all night yesterday. I didn't eat one bite and damn was it hard but I came home , made some amazing beef and broccoli , did another workout and slept awesome last night , and have no regrets. I have never been good at willpower but I am really finding tracking what I eat and how much has greatly influenced my outlook on things. So far so good.

This, exactly. Although since I'm cranky, sick and it's rainy today I was going to bake something. Hopefully some baked good will help BF's cranky mood too.

...off to Skinny Taste to look for a recipe that hopefully won't be as bad

ETA: Nursey, that's great about your run, and Peek you can do it! You have lots of time before the 12th!

On the plane to Atlanta, I made a rough sketch of my marathon training program. it's do-able, so starting next week I'll be running 5 days a week with hopefully two insanity workouts a week as well.
