**jemmini**

Hey, I just saw your post about wedding hair/makeup prices and wondered who you ended up going with. My regular hair dresser (a woman I went to high school with) just sent me her prices:

$65 Bride's hair (updo)
$55 BMs/MOB/MOG (updo, less for just a blowout)
$65 for Bride's hair trial
$65 for all makeup

I actually think these are pretty good. I'm thinking I'll let my BMs decide if they want hair and makeup done. So my hair + Makeup with trial will be around $200... is that in line with what you ended up with?

That's actually a little cheaper than what I went with.  I'm using the hair person that Celles (she posts on SB a lot) recommended because when I was looking, she had the best prices - and Celles' hair looked amazing at her wedding.  She charges $150 which includes both the trial and day of, and she is coming on site.  The BM's hair prices are only $50 too, so that's pretty good.

I'm using a sort of family friend for my make-up.  My parents and her parents were good friends back in the day, in fact, I still have an owl blanket her mom made for me when I was born.  She is strictly a MUA and has done shows, fashion week, etc.  Normally, she requires 5 people minimum to do on-site make-up, but since we know her, she's coming just for me and gave me a 20% discount.  Still pretty pricey at $120 for just my day-of makeup, but I'm not planning to do a trial and I trust her judgement on that one.  Plus she does the full airbrush foundation etc, which will be nice.

I did see a few people that were cheaper if I went to them, but having them come on-site was important for me, so I know I'm paying a little bit extra for that (and my venue is in East Mesa, so it's not exactly close for a lot of people).  I figured that we're paying a lot for photography, so I want to make sure I look good in all our pictures.  LOL.

All the prices are doubled if they come on-site. I kind of feel stuck, since I know her and she's my regular hairstylist. The good thing is that I know she'll do an awesome job. I'm going to try to get her to combine the hair and makeup trial so that there is only one charge ($65) instead of two ($130).

We also have ALL DAY to waste on the wedding day. Our ceremony isn't until 4:30, so even if I have to be hair and makeup ready by 2:30, we still won't have to get up early for it.

Yours is coming up so soon... are you ready? :)

Yeah, my ceremony is at 4 and I think our preliminary timeline from the photographer has me being ready by 2, so I'll be able to sleep in (hopefully), get some breakfast, watch a little tv or something, etc.  I'm staying at the resort the night before, so everything will already be there ready to go until hair & makeup shows up.  It should be nice to not have to run around doing errands all morning.

I'm getting excited, just over a month and a half to go :)  It really did come up fast considering this past Saturday (9/10) was our 1 year engagement-versary.  We are meeting with the officiant tomorrow and I have my first dress fitting on Saturday.  Then I think all we really need to do is plan out the timeline with the photographer/dj/venue and finish up our music selections.

How is your stuff going?  Have you decided on a photographer yet?
