Wild Weather!

Yesterday, the grass was starting to turn green, and only a few small piles of snow remained. Today, we have probably at least a foot, and it's still coming down. WTF? It's late-MARCH! My drive to and from school was horrendous - the roads are some of the worst I've seen all year. I'm pretty sure my sisters got a snow day.

How's your March weather been? Seasonal? Hot? Cold? Windy? Rainy? Dry?

So far, it's been beautiful here...70s-80s during the day, 60s at night, clear and sunny, low humidity. However, I'm not gonna lie...I'm praying for low-mid 70s and cloudy for our wedding day, so we don't sweat to death or squint our way through our ceremony.

    Our weather has been amazing.

We always get a lot of thunder storms in the late spring/early summer, so I'm looking forward to that.

Lucky both of you! That sounds lovely!

Oceana, I'll be sending mid-70s with clouds vibes for you on your wedding day.

Elle, I <3 thunderstorms! We usually don't get them until fairly well into summer. Me and my Dad always used to spend hours on the porch just watching them.

We were supposed to go snowboarding last weekend, but there was a blizzard. Usually when we go in late March it's 50 degrees and sunny on the slopes!

It's been pouring rain on and off for the last week, which is also somewhat unusual this late in the year. It will go from pouring to sunny in the same day.

Lyn, I WISH I had to choose between flip flops and rainboots...I'm choosing between rain boots and snow boots. Although, being Canadian, I made sure my rainboots had a good lining so I could wear them in the snow and not freeze.

A couple days ago it was up to 90 and  yesterday it was 68 and raining. It's been cooler out, but nice weather. I'm just glad we are not up to 100+ yet.

I had a crazy dream about a large, grey rectangular cloud turning into a tornado near where my BF had just gone to pick up my little sisters. I was waiting in his car at the bottom of this steep hill watching all these people run towards me to get away from it. LUCKILY my BF got my sisters safely into the car (which was a miata that could suddenly seat 6 people: my 2 sisters, him and I and my uncle and my supervisor? RANDOM)

In real life, it is just overcast and kinda warmish here.

We have snow and rain...  I am use to nice warm weather at this point but no, I just had another foot of snow dumped on my house. Beads I empathize with you.  The skiers are loving it but I am wishing I could wear skirts again!

Ya Raven, BF was going to put his snowboard away this weekend. He didn't, and it's probably a good thing - I'm guessing he'll be at the hill on Friday, which never happens by late-March.

Last week it was in the mid sixties, now we're getting ready for three more inches of snow. I didn't think the snow would ever melt, and it was finally almost gone.

Just read your ticker. You're going to Costa Rica in two weeks! You need the cold weather leading up to your trip for you to fully enjoy your vacation :P

Alanna, I agree, Mother Nature must be having a field day messing with us.

I sure don't need any more cold weather to enjoy my vacation though! It's been cold since October, I've had enough. Winter is really hanging on this year. We're hoping there's at least no snow by the time we get back - which will be mid-April.

Same!  My dad used to wake me up in the middle of the night if there was a good storm going so we could watch the lightning from our patio.

We were supposed to be 80 today, and it has been gorgeous all week.  But this morning it was below 60 for most of the day, and now we're on severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watch.  :(

I <3 thunderstorms too.  My brother, on the other hand, hates them.  He was watching one with dad in the window one afternoon, and lightning struck the sewer 50 feet in front of our house.  Scared him to DEATH.

I am SO OVER SNOW. We had spring break last week and it was gorgeous. Then I came back to school. Seriously, as soon as I crossed the border to NY, I had to turn on the heat in my car.

<div>That would be a tad frightening. My landlord's first house with her ex-husband got hit by lightening, and was completely destroyed. It didn't burn, but the electrical all got fried. I think often people forget how powerful lightning can be. </div>

    Thunderstorms rule.

Last night, we were supposed to get 11-14 inches of snow, but we didn't get any accumulation at all. We just got crazy high winds and snow flying sideways. It was pretty crazy. The neighbors' trash cans were blowing down the alley. One came to rest right next to my car's fender. No idea whose it is. Ha.

Unusually warm and dry for us.  March is typically our snowiest month, but it's been in the 50s and 60s during the day and no precipitation.  There's a 1200 acre wildfire burning less than 3 miles from our house, and fire season shouldn't start until late May!

Oh, and 65 mph winds, of course :-(
