Update+ Ring porn!

So yesterday was the big ring shop, and I wasn't going to take any pictures so I could be somewhat surprised when he actually proposes (It's going to take a couple months to pay it off)...Well guess who brought his camera and asked me to take pictures of the ring? Then he proceeded to print the best pic and put it on the fridge as a constant teasing reminder of whats to come. What the hell? I thought I was excited! 

Anyway, here it is! Right now it's set a little high, it will be lowered by the time I get it.

Beautiful! If I were you, I'd tear that picture off the refrigerator. It will do nothing but frustrate you, and while he was probably teasing, I'd hope he'd understand how torturous it would be to look at that every day!

I agree with tiger. That's just cruel. Awesome job with the ring, but now put it out of your mind and just enjoy what life brings you.

We're still in a state of shiny diamond afterglow, but maybe putting on the fridge was getting mildly carried away with it. He's just excited, and I'm not bothered cause I know it's coming soon enough. That being said, the picture WILL be coming down on monday when he goes back to work. I don't want looking at it to get old before it's even on my finger! I'm going to tuck it away and look at it only when I'm feeling impatient to remind me what's coming.

You know what he is doing at this exact moment?

Driving to my Grandfather's house to ask for his blessing

I can't believe your boyfriend put it on the fridge! Sounds like proposal torture... then again my boyfriend finds ring torture entertaining. lol We are in a LDR, and while skyping last night, his mom and sister were there so he decided after telling them about the ring he would show them the ring on his computer.. but I couldn't see it! All I saw where their reactions and how much they love it. haha The suspense of having loving boyfriends. I'm with you though, it doesn't bother me as much knowing it will eventually be mine. He just likes its the one thing in life I can't control and decide on, I'll give him that. lol Our boyfriends would get along just fine.

P.S.- Can't wait for the post when you actually get it!!!

Ok - that is horribly cruel of BF!!!  That would drive me crazy to see the ring pic every single day.  But, I'm really glad you posted the pic on here for the rest of us to see - thanks!!  It looks beautiful & I can't wait for your proposal story (soon-ish?)

Very pretty!! I agree with taking down the ring though, lol.

I actually talked to FI months ago when we started looking at rings and told him I'd prefer if we kept the looking at rings and what the ring looked like and when he was going to do it a secret from everybody. I wanted him to surprise me, but I wanted us to be able to go together to surprise everyone else. It worked for the most part except my dad is oblivious and when he got a text from FI asking if they could talk sometime, he wondered aloud to my mom about "why would FI want to talk to me alone?", lol. So she knew, but it still turned out great, lol.

I'd make sure that when the picture comes down, you put it somewhere that you can't find it again. It'll make temptation to look at it easier if you don't know where it is, lol. It's so exciting that you found your ring though! Congrats! : )

I had a picture of my ring before he actually proposed.  I didn't look at it often, but once in a while I'd take a peek and get excited again!  sometimes it did feed the BSC, but just try to keep yourself in check and only peek once in a while... if at all.  congrats!  it's a beautiful ring!  we'll all be excited when you get to AW it with the proposal.

Thank you ladies, it IS pretty, isn't it?

Just so you guys know, he didn't put it up there to tease me. Although I see how that message was conveyed in my OP, it's on my fridge (surrounded by pics of us and our son) as more of a family "goal" if that makes any sense...Something to look forward to, to work for. I'm know how long it will take to get and he's not trying to rub my face in it or anything. 

Still, it's coming down on monday. When he asks why I will just tell him the truth- I want to put it out of my head for a while. We've secured the ring, now I gotta wait. That part will be a lot easier if I'm not looking at the sparkles every day.

So yeah, gonna bask in the glory for another day, then it goes into hiding for a while!
