Shoes!! (the clothing, not the reg)

A few weeks ago, I stumbled across these shoes (clickity) and fell in love enough to suspend my dream of wearing blue shoes for my wedding if it meant I could have them.

Then today, at the mall with my friend, I discovered two other companies that make similar styles.  These (click) and these (click again) are both signifcantly cheaper and both come in a variety of colors, but, alas, no blue.

Does anybody know of another similar shoe out there?  If I could find something similar in blue, I would order them in a second and not care that it'll be over a year before I can wear them.

If not, I'm thinking about buying a pair (probably the Caparros brand) just to have, not for the wedding.  What color do we like the most?  I'm leaning toward the red, but I feel like the ivory looks the best.

I, personally, love the "Gesalyn" in the "apple" color, but I am a green hoar.

After searching, I saw with these (clicky) and love them, but know they're not what you're looking for.  *le sigh*

I know this isn't about me, but I saw these and fell in loooove (for my non-existent wedding, of course).

I am going to continue searching.  The shoes you want have to be out there.

These are the closest I've been able to find so far, and they're not exactly blue...

I just realized that I suck at this and am providing you with no useful information.

So, to continue with that, I remembered that *SHOES* wanted Carrie's Manolo Blahniks, but they were way too expensive.  These are pretty close:

Not gonna lie as I was reading your post I kept trying to look at the shoes by clicking on (clickity) (click) and (click again) and I just kept wondering WHY IN THE WORLD the links weren't working...and then I realized. *Sigh* It's been a long day!

But I LOVE the shoes you chose and I think the ones cschiano found would be perfect!

I thought I'd seen something similar among the dyeable shoes. These were the closest I found. You can get them dyed whatever shade of blue you want.

The first pair is a little pricey, but Shoebuy often has 20% off sales (and free shipping both ways).

I'm with you.  I want blue shoes for my wedding too.  The only royal blue shoes out there that I like enough are the Manolo ones, but they're in excess of $900, which is out of my price range, even for pretty princess day shoes.

So, I'm going to do what Katanne did.  I'm going to get shoes I love in white that are dyeable and have them dyed royal blue.

<div>Shoes, what if you did it this way?  If you plan on attending two special events per year (after your wedding), plus decide to wear them out every year on your anniversary, and you want to only spend $100 on pretty princess shoes...that's three times you can wear them per year, which equates to only spending $300 per year on the shoes, and they've paid for themselves in 3 years.  And I don't feel like you toss Manolos after 9 wears <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-innocent.gif" border="0" alt="Innocent" title="Innocent" /></div><div>
</div><div>(I run through this calculation every time I think I can't afford shoes or a dress...I must wear it x times for it to be worth my spending this amount of money, and I should have x opportunities to wear it.  FI calls it a ROI - return on investment.  If you buy them now, you're investing in them. What would your return on your investment be?)</div>

I wanted teal shoes. It just turns out I liked the dyeable shoes I bought in white, so I'm not going to dye them. Well, maybe I'll dye them after the wedding so I can get more use out of them. They were a whopping $97, so I'd better wear them again.

I have bright blue glitter shoes I need to drag out one of these days.  They're fantastic!

cschiano, I LOVE those shoes you posted!  They seem perfect compared to all the examples in the OP.  And I kinda adore them, though I'm at least a year from starting to look for shoes.  Can I buy them just for fun?

Now, if we're talking colored glitter shoes, well, that's a different story...

I have a shoe fetish.  It drives FI nuts.  Especially when the words "I need new shoes" exit my mouth.  Because he points at the piles scattered all over the room and goes "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

    Favorite shoes:

Except they're pink, not red.  I've almost walked through the sole, and my parents tried to get me to toss them.  They were $3.  I'm not tossing them until they're dunzo.

These are actually red.  I bought them when I was in Rocky Horror as a Transylvanian, and fell in love with them.  :)

My next purchase - blue or purple.  I have a lot of red in my closet, but can't wear most of it because of the shades of clothes I wear.

But in pink.  I lurve them.

I love shoes, too, but don't like to pay a lot of money for them.  I usually try to keep it under $50.

My most recent purchase was a pair of hiking shoes that cost $90.  I told BF I NEVER spend that much on shoes.  He said it was okay because they were good quality.  Maybe I'll have to start applying that to all my shoe purchases...
