Obama special report/news conference

Is there a specific reason Obama is giving a news conference right now?

Because it sounds like the same speech he gave a few weeks ago.

So I need to be enlightened, because I feel like I'm missing something.

I guess, to tell you the truth, I've never had much of a desire to grow facial hair. I think I've managed to play quarterback just fine without a mustache. - Peyton

I think to put much needed pressure on congress to pass the Jobs bill, or at least put forth their own version.

yea, that's what I got from it too.  I mean, I get the repubs don't like obama, but can't we just all get along?  There's too much name-calling in this administration :(

There's too much name-calling, period. I don't think it has anything to do with the administration. There was a slew of name calling in the Bush period too.

True.  I think I'm just paying attention more during this period.  But I mean, we're all "bullying is bad" and that's exactly what half of the gov't is doing.  It seems backwards to me.
