Ok... how about this? (Help me choose a picture.)

Ok, so I know that the STDs I send out will be glanced at for a minute then either thrown away or stuck on the fridge and nobody is going to scrutinize it the way I am, but still...  I'm a control freak and I want to get it right, dammit.

Sooo maybe it would be easier if I knew for sure which picture to use.  Since the layouts I like won't work for every photo, that should help me narrow things down, right?

Here are my favorites:

1.  My mom is worried that it makes FI look like a midget since it's cropped too close to see that I'm on his lap.  I feel like everyone receiving a STD will know that he is not a midget and it won't be an issue.

3.  For some reason I feel like this photo only works in black-and-white.

4.

Thoughts?  And please tell me if I'm just being annoying.

I like 2 and 3 best. I think 2 would be really cool with all the info text to the right of the photo. I like 3 because I like B&W photos and it's a fun camera angle.

I actually agree with your mom on #1.

ETA: How about changing the color of the brick in #2. You could just desaturate it so it's gray brick that blends into the background.

Ok, the ones we've been toying with are 5x7.  It doesn't matter if it's a little smaller though, as long as it can be mailed as a postcard.  I just don't want to have to buy envelopes.

So either 5x7 or 4x6?

ETA:  And thanks to everyone else for the input and compliments.  You guys make me so happy.

So the USPS says a postcard can't exceed 4.25 x 6, so I'll aim for 4x6.

It can be bigger, you just have to use a 44 cent stamp instead of a 29 cent one.  That's not too big of a deal.  Like I said, I just don't want to have to get envelopes, too.

2 and 4 are my faves.  I think I prefer those because your heads are the same size.  I don't really like the ones where you or the FI is in front and the other's head looks smaller.  But I'm weird like that!

Really, #2 is my absolute favorite.  I feel like there is a lot of love in it.

My vote is for #2...I love the brick and I think it kind of sets itself up for an STD.
