*Headdesk* Is it really 7:20AM already?? *headdesk*

Yes, that many *headdesks* was totally necessary.

Yesterday was a hectic day - which was fine, because overall, it was a pretty good day, just busy. Class was boring, but I was part of a group that got brownie points because we stayed for the whole class (half left at the break halfway through class). Went home, took a shower, snuggled with BF on the couch, normal night right??? WRONG!

We went to bed about 11:00 - BF woke me up at 1:30AM, scaring the shiit out of me, I might add, because he needed my help. WTF?? Okay, so I get up and go out to the kitchen - there is water POURING down from the ceiling above my washer, all over my washer and my kitchen floor. I also came to find out that it had saturated through the carpet in the hallway as well. So we called the apartment complex Emergency Maintenance #. Turns out, maintenance guy is a friend of BF's from high school. So he comes right over, turns off the water, rips out some drywall and sees a pin-size hole in one of the pipes. So they will have to come today to fix it.

He spent about 2 hours doing this, as well as cleaning up the water in the kitchen, even pulling the fridge to make sure he got everything under there. He pulled up the carpet in the hallway and stuck a huge blower fan under the carpet to try and dry up the water a little before they come in today and extract it. He was suuuuuper nice and apologetic.

Bad news?? After all that BS, I couldn't go back to sleep. I had to be at work at 6:45am this morning like usual, and I have class 6-9:15 tonight, and I've gotten a grand total of 3 hrs of sleep. I....am....going...to....die.... *headdesk*

CN: 3 hours of sleep, due to a pipe leaking and coming down into my apartment through the ceiling, getting water every where and saturating my carpet. I have work and class from 6:45am - 9:15pm, plus a 20 minute drive home. And no real way to take time off today to catch a nap. :(

Ughhh that's really shiitty Irish! At least it can be fixed right away & so that's 1 less thing to worry about, not that that helps your sleep schedule for today or the fact that you're incredibly exhausted.

On the upside, it can only get better, right?

I'm hoping. The issue is, the apartment complex management sucks. The last time we had an issue (running a dryer 4 times before a small load is dry), i had to sic BF's County Commissioner mom on them because they wouldn't do anything.

I'm trying to be optimistic, but at 7:30 with 3 hrs sleep and a huge pile of paperwork and shiit to do on my desk... It's not exactly easy lol

Here's to hoping you ladies have a WONDERFUL Thursday!!

    Aw *hugs* boo.

At least your BF knows the maintenance man. If he didn't, you might still be leaking water all over the place.

Oh no! At least you guys caught it before it totally destroyed everything from leaking ALL night. And tomorrow is Friday. Maybe just grab a couple of energy drinks and get to bed as soon as you get home. That still stinks though. Good luck!

Ugh, Irish that really sucks! Atleast the apartment maintenance guy was able to come quickly, so often they don't!

Aww, Irish, that's the balls. Do you drink coffee? It'll make you feel better :)
You go to work so early! Think of how well you'll sleep tonight though, as long as the pipe gets fixed :(

That sucks! A lot! It sounds like you need to find a new apartment complex when your lease is up. G'luck getting through today--you can do it! (Drink coffee!)

That suck! I am so sorry love! *hugs*

I recommend that you become close friends with Energy drinks. That has helped me through all nighters before. *hugs*
