Yes, that many *headdesks* was totally necessary.
Yesterday was a hectic day - which was fine, because overall, it was a pretty good day, just busy. Class was boring, but I was part of a group that got brownie points because we stayed for the whole class (half left at the break halfway through class). Went home, took a shower, snuggled with BF on the couch, normal night right??? WRONG!
We went to bed about 11:00 - BF woke me up at 1:30AM, scaring the shiit out of me, I might add, because he needed my help. WTF?? Okay, so I get up and go out to the kitchen - there is water POURING down from the ceiling above my washer, all over my washer and my kitchen floor. I also came to find out that it had saturated through the carpet in the hallway as well. So we called the apartment complex Emergency Maintenance #. Turns out, maintenance guy is a friend of BF's from high school. So he comes right over, turns off the water, rips out some drywall and sees a pin-size hole in one of the pipes. So they will have to come today to fix it.
He spent about 2 hours doing this, as well as cleaning up the water in the kitchen, even pulling the fridge to make sure he got everything under there. He pulled up the carpet in the hallway and stuck a huge blower fan under the carpet to try and dry up the water a little before they come in today and extract it. He was suuuuuper nice and apologetic.
Bad news?? After all that BS, I couldn't go back to sleep. I had to be at work at 6:45am this morning like usual, and I have class 6-9:15 tonight, and I've gotten a grand total of 3 hrs of sleep. I....am....going...to....die.... *headdesk*
CN: 3 hours of sleep, due to a pipe leaking and coming down into my apartment through the ceiling, getting water every where and saturating my carpet. I have work and class from 6:45am - 9:15pm, plus a 20 minute drive home. And no real way to take time off today to catch a nap.
