Cool gift ideas?

So the BF and I both have birthdays in November, and then there's Christmas (when he says I'm getting a ring, I'm not sure how to match that). I'm always so unsure of what to get him, When I ask him he says all he wants is for me to wear some cute panties and give him sexytimes, but I was gonna do that anyway! :P I found some awesome cologne that I will give him for his bday, its very irresistable fresh attitude, omg it smells AMAZING. I want to get him something else as well, these are my ideas so far:
a nice pair of "going out" shoes,
a kick ass pair of jeans,
a new external hardive (He gets one every year, but maybe theres a limit. I mean, our content is already backed up twice!)
Christmas I think I should get him something really awesome so I'm looking for suggestions! He likes to cook, mess around with computers and spends most of his time driving a transport truck. Thanks in advance for your ideas <3

    Have you two ever taken a cooking class together? BF gave me a cooking class for Valentine's Day last year. It was so much fun! We ended up scheduling a Mexican Tapas class and learned how to make all kinds of yummy appetizers and even a wine margarita! It was a lot of fun and a great date night for the 2 of us. Plus, we got to take the recipes home and throw a party for our friends with them!

    oh, and I forgot to mention - whether your guy gets an engagement ring for you or not, it shouldn't matter. Buy him a gift as you would any other year. If he chooses to propose on Christmas then he will, but you should try not to anticipate that. Enjoy the holiday and don't worry about the other stuff or you may end up really disappointing yourself.

    Sound advise! Believe me, I'm trying to put it out of my head as much as possible, but the thought of it looming in the back of my mind is making the decision seem so much more important. It's so hard to just forget about it :P
