Make up Update

So I got my makeup!  The lady at S was horribly unhelpful after we got my foundation.  She didn't listen to me at all when I said what I wanted for my eye shadow which really pissed me off because she kept making my eyes all smokey.  So I ditched her and found something I love all on my own    Fricken expensive though!!!  Anyways here are some pictures: 

I am using Lancome Paris Bronze Amour:


And Bare Minerals light.  I am pretty happy!

Very pretty! It's too bad the lady at S was so unhelpful. I hate it when people refuse to listen to what I'm asking for. It looks like you did great on your own though!

I don't think it looks big either!!  And I like your makeup.  Bummer that the lady wasn't very helpful though.  What foundation did you end up with?

I think you look beautiful and the eye shadow looks fantastic!

However, I just wanted to let you know that everything I have ever read about wedding make up has said do NOT use Bare Minerals as a foundation. BM is meant to reflect light which is why it makes you look pretty and flawless in real life, but this is bad for pictures. The make up will reflect the flash and you can end up looking like you have a white face in all of your photos. I've been worn BM in regular photos and it looks fine, but professional cameras and flashes are different.

I haven't actually met a bride who DID use BM so I can't say whether this is a real issue or not, but I just wanted to let you know in case. Check out the Beauty Board. You'll probably see the same thing there and they might have some good suggestions for alternatives.

I'm glad you found things that you love.  I had a similar issue at Sephora where the MUA refused to listen to me.

I have to agree with Ana about bare minerals.  I use something similar to bare minerals every day.  It looks great in person.  It photographs very shiny.  If you got the Matte versision you should be okay, if not you might want to look into exchanging the bare minerals.  

Also, did you buy eyeshadow primer?  Primer is really important for you wedding day.  You'll be wearing the makeup for a long time.  So, make sure you take measures to make it last.  You'll probably have to touch up your lipstick a couple of times and maybe even blush.  You don't want to have to fix eye makeup though.  That's a bit too much.
