Need Some Suggestions!

About a year ago my mom's best friend moved to Texas but they stayed really close and my mom has gone to visit her many times. My mom just sent me a text saying that the past couple of weeks her best friend hasn't been talking to her and has been acting weird for the past couple of weeks. Then today she called and said she didn't want my mom to come down in August (they've been planning this trip since may) and she wouldn't tell my mom why. She said she sent my mom a letter in the mail to explain it I guess.

I can tell my mom is really upset by the whole situation and I want to do something since for her to cheer her up. Usually I would go shopping with her and get our nails done but since she's in Idaho and I'm in Colorado I'm not sure what I could do. Any suggestions?

Can you call a local florist in her area and have flowers delivered?  Doesn't matter what's bothering my Mom, but that always makes her smile!  Or you can do an e-card with a sweet message.

Sorry her friend's being a jerk!

I agree with flowers too. My mom LOVES getting flowers.

Flowers sounds good.  A lot of florist like 1800flowers etc have other stuff like candy and stuff if shes not big on flowers.

Personally, I fell in love with edible arrangements... the edible fruit flowers.  Healthy sort of but you can get them dipped in chocolate! :)

A heartelt card goes further than any money spent on "stuff" though I think.

I think it's a great idea to send your mom something nice to lift her spirits. Some PPs suggested flowers, which are always lovely. Or you could send her some chocolate, or a funny card.

Haha. I would totally get the ones with chocolate...if my mom liked chocolate. Its so weird that she doesn't. She loves fruit though so I think I will go with the edible arrangements.

Awesome!  Be sure and google for coupons - they've always got at least a $5 discount somewhere.

Aww, I'm sad for her.  I totally agree with the edible arrangements idea - I always wanted someone to send me one of those....

They are soooo good.  I got one from a friend of the family when my son was born and FI sent me a box of dipped fruit on Valentines Day from there!

I'm sorry for your mom.  That's really upsetting.

But...edible arrangements sound like a wonderful idea!
