I wish there was a "like" button on TK like there is on FB. If there were, I would use it now.

My first BF broke up with me just like that except it was on Myspace. I went to leave him a comment one day, and it said he was single. Talk about a surprise!

I've never met someone who thought that was an appropriate way to break up with someone. Even in high school the guys were man-enough to at least make a phone call (not a text a phone call). I just assume that if someone thinks that's an ok way to break up with someone they aren't worth dating in the first place.

Yeah, that's what I thought until I saw a girl I know go from being engaged to nothing, and her (ex?) fiance went from "engaged" to "single" to "it's complicated". And all she commented was "really" exactly like that. I have a feeling she didn't quite see that coming. I felt badly for her, especially because they have a kid. But the whole thing is a Facebook trainwreck.

My junior high (I think) boyfriend texted me one morning to break up with me, but I had left my phone at home. I told someone to put my lunchbox next to him while I went to the bathroom and she told me he kept moving it because we broke up. I had no idea. It was dreadful.

Well, that's a mature way to end a relationship.

I got broken up with once (7 or 8 years ago) over AIM with a "so we won't be hanging out anymore, okay?"

    Uh, nice.

We weren't "official," but come on.

I was 20 when I came home to my house, found my laptop open, e-mail hacked in to, with a 4 year old e-mail from my previous EX open.

My BF of a year was missing, and didn't return calls or texts for three days.

He finally called me and said, "I'm coming to get my couch."
..It was a 1960s couch that had the wood frame with wood arm rests and the cushions looked like burlap sacks.

I don't miss either of them.
