Howdy ladies and happy Friday from Rainy Southern California. I have mentioned here and there on the forum that I participated in a 5K obstacle course race that was located in the Malibu Hills. What I thought was going to be a easy breezy race was instead a insanely tiring run up and down hiking trails that wound through hills. Throw in about 16 obstacles ranging from getting over a 8 foot wall, zig zag balance beams, mud crawl, swimming across a pond that was so cold that made me happy I was not a male else my "berries" would have shriveled up and die. Only to make it to the finish line where i had to get past TWO guys with jousting sticks with pads on either end. The next four pictures will make you laugh.
Getting ready to weave past the men with the sticks.

The second guy winding up to take out my legs.

Caught me in mid air

Down I go!

Face planted right into the grass in front of a crowd, all I hear is "OOOHHHH" as I get up and run the last ten feet to the finish line.

Had to crawl through mud under barb wire

Crawl through a mud puddle/pond

Make our way across the balance beam, if a person fell off they had to do 20 squats before attempting again. To the right of the picture is a steep hill that people had to run/climb up to make it to the cargo net to climb over.

Took me three days to recover and a week for my scrapes and cuts to heal. Hope had a laugh, as much as my friends and FI did when they watched me eat grass.
