Not Engaged Yet

This Saturday???

I think he's proposing this Saturday!  He asked me out on "date night" a month ago, and we live together, and had free weekends before this.

Also, he's mentioned that he wanted to take me to this surpise Japanese restaurant with "something special."  I think that something special might be something shiny!

Well, now I can't sit still.  I can't wait!!!!

What if "something special" is sushi with no food poisoning? What I mean by that is DEEP BREATH! If you are all worked up and he doesn't propose, you'll be disappointed instead of enjoying your fun date night. Even if he has something really cool cooked up, if there's no proposal, you'll be upset. That's not fair to him or to you. Enjoy your relationship! The proposal will come eventually.

Don't think about it too much. You'll either ruin the moment because you'll be freaking out so much, or you'll ruin a regular, wonderful date because you'll be disappointed he didn't propose.

Put it out of your mind and just have a good time.

    Good luck.

DO NOT expect a proposal. We aren't here to get you down, but if he doesn't you will be PISSED. And if he does, you've ruined that moment by expecting it too much. Relax, enjoy this time. It really is amazing and looking back, I wish I had enjoyed it more.

Oh and good luck, let us know.

Kat's hat has even more magical powers.  I cannot reveal the secrets of the bow hat.  In time, you will know.

Does it magically give you 5 babies? Because if so, I'm skipping the bow hat.

Btw, what the heck is this mystical hat of which you speak? I am not familiar with this custom.

I shall passeth on my ribbon hat to the highest bidder.

I wouldn't think about it so much. You now have it in your head that he will propose - and if he doesn't, you're going to be disappointed at what could have been/should have been just a nice evening out to dinner.

If he does propose, enjoy it without over-thinking.

And do try to sit still - if you freak out now before anything happens, that's just weird.

I thought mine was going to propose at least 10 times, and he never did...it just made the situation uncomfortable for us both.  When he did propose, i was totally caught of guard, which is one reason why he did it when he did.  Do yourself a favor and CHILL OUT!!!! If it happens, great...if not, you still have the proposal to look foward to!

But thanks for all of the "chill out" messages.  I had the mantra going through my head the whole night, and it made the surprise that much more, well, surprising!!!!!!
