Okay so my bf and I were never really good with surprises and waiting, we always open our anniversary gifts a day or two before, our christmas gifts before christmas etc..As you know from my previous posts, we have been looking at rings and having my finger sized and all that good stuff which forces me to know that engagement is in the air. I am aware from other posts that just because we are looking does not mean it is happening anytime soon and that it could range from days to years so I trying to not think about it...I have told the bf to stop talking about it and that its still a surprise because i don't know when, where, and how. That's the back story...
So my boyfriend and I went camping this weekend with my dad and his GF and since we have been talking about getting engaged I figured he would use this opportunity to ask my dad for his blessing and he did! I assumed it but did not want to know it for sure and my wonderful boyfriend told me because he is just too excited about all this which is really cute and great but I told him to stop talking to me about it LOL! I admit that I had asked him earlier if I could tell my dad that we were looking at rings and such (because i cant contain myself!) and he told me no..then he goes and tells him himself and admits that he asked for his blessing after telling me he doesnt want to talk about it anymore! Basically it keeps getting brought up despite us telling each other to stop lol He also keeps talking about how he is worried about his choice of ring and wants it to be perfect for me and doesnt want me to be disappointed..I have told him plenty of times that I would love whatever he picks out because it's from him...it's weird but it's me not wanting to hear about it anymore and not the other way around, how do i get him to shut up?! I am just as excited as he is and find it hard to deal with the anticipation at times but him bringing it up all the time is NOT helping!
