... crickets...

I don't like this silence on the boards today!

What are you doing this weekend? Do you have any extra days off from work? Anyone hitting the beach or going swimming? What do all of you landlocked folk do for vacations during the summer?

I'm off tomorrow and Monday so BF and I are heading to the beach tonight and we're coming home on Monday.  BF is helping a friend do a job for his business and I'd assume us ladies will be laying out in the sun working on our color.

Oh, I forgot it was Memorial Day this weekend. Very exciting for my southern neighbours. Canada's long weekend was last weekend.

At this point I'm hoping it doesn't rain all weekend here like the forecast says.

I've got a job interview today.  I'm trying to get a waitressing job to help save up for the wedding.  So, hopefully that goes well.  Then we're driving down to FMIL's to stay for a day or two (and play with our dog, who she's babysitting.)

Tomorrow, we're heading down to NY to visit my mother.  (Joy.)  I've got some errands to run with my mother and we may see my BFF/MOH while we're down there.  On Sunday, I've got a bridal shower in NY.  Then, depending on what my schedule is looking like, I might be getting drinks in NYC with GPB on Sunday night.

I'm planning to head back to Boston either Sunday night or Monday.

    So, lots of running around.

I am so excited to have three whole days off. Not that I never get three day weekends, but there is just something so nice about going to bed on Sunday night and knowing you don't have to go to work the next day! It feels like cheating somehow :)

Anyway, BF and I are planning on getting some stuff done around the house and then enjoying the heck out of our pool. We're having people over for a bbq on Sunday, which always ends up being a good time.

We may go to the lake this weekend, I don't know.

No extra days off for us :( But the nice thing is that our pizza shop is across from the local pool which will be opening and we get to be on the radio at the opening and stuff. Bf is actually meeting with them right now to discuss us being their pizza vendor..score!

I'm getting more highlights on Saturday, and we are cooking out at my parents on Sunday.

And for vacation we are going to Myrtle Beach and leave next weekend. yay!

I work today open to close. I work tomorrow from 330-600pm. I work my second job on saturday from 5-930pm, I have sunday off, but I work on Memorial day. I'm pretty much working the whole weekend. Josh and I might go look at more apartments and maybe see a movie. I can't wait for our vacation in July.

I'm going SCUBA DIVING!  Squee!  I've gotten my open water certification (last October), and I'm going in for my "advanced" certification this weekend. The boyfriend is coming along, and it should be fun. We're headed down to Beaver Lake in Arkansas. The bad part is that we will be driving by Joplin. We were going to spend Friday night there with his aunt (who is safe, as is her house), but all things considering, that's now a very bad idea. I am very excited about the weekend in the lake though.

I should have been on my way to Kentucky to visit family but thanks to my lovely uncle inviting himself, we called it off. Instead I am sitting in my sewing class making a kickass skirt. Its the only think on our schedule until next week and I have to just finish my hem. Eep! I work tomorrow but I do have Monday off. FI is working, as usual. Sunday is our family BBQ and it's the first get together since my cousins funeral so I know it will be weird and super sad without him.

I work a 9-5 in an office so I have the long weekend off! So excited. BF and I are going camping with his parents in Maine, and I am stoked! It's supposed to be decent weather, and nice enough on Sunday to go to the beach for the day. I can't wait - Monday will be the first day off I have gotten all year that wasn't a snow day or a sick day and I'm so pumped. I have been making lists of the outfits I want to pack at work because I'm so excited :)

    Hi!!

Right now I'm watching a tv show on netflix instant watch. My summer job starts late next week, so until then, I have NOTHING to do. Maybe I should be happy to relax?

This weekend, FI and I will probably just be relaxing. We don't have anything planned. His pool at his apartment opens this weekend, so we'll probably spend some time there if it's warm enough.

I am working most of the weekend.  I have Sunday off but I am working Monday (yaya for holiday pay).  On Sunday I am going to church then going wedding present shopping with my friends, we are going in on a joint venture.   Well Landlock people around here want to go camping in the mountains.  But they can't up here, it snowed yesterday and is suppose to this weekend.  Now doesn't that sound like fun?  Oh and none of the campgrounds are open, yet.  I work for the Forest Service so I know these things. :)

I have Monday off.  Saturday we will go to a local rummage sale and then go to a farm to pick some fresh produce (which I am super excited about)!

We will probably take the dogs to the beach one day and maybe a cook out for our friends on Monday?  I'm not sure yet, but I'm just hoping for a relaxing weekend (that BF doesn't fill with chores).

Cunning - I got BF and I a coupon to go on a mini dive.  Maybe we'll do that this weekend?  I am a little anxious about it, but I'm sure I'll be fine when I get in the water.  Or maybe snorkeling?

ETA: I just remembered this area with this amazing sand bar.  Maybe we'll take the dogs there!!

I'm off to St. Louis in the wee hours tonight--7AM flight out of MSP. YAY.

Going to visit my grandparents, for anyone who didn't see that in my superlong post yesterday. :) We're going to see two nights of dance performances. It's part of a festival similar to Fall for Dance in NYC; all tickets are $10, first-come, first-served, and you get to see short pieces from 4-8 different companies in one evening! It's all over the map, too--everything from classical ballet to African tribal dances.

It'll be nice to get out of town, see the grandparents, and get some nice warm St. Louis weather!

I presented at a conference today!!!  It was a dry run for the conference I'm presenting at in July.

We're having people over this weekend.  Oh, and I'm picking my grandparents up Saturday morning from their cruise.  :)
