What kind of jeans does everyone wear?

I have a couple pairs of jeans that fit me really well when I bought them, and they fit perfectly right after a wash, but by the time I've had them on for an hour, they're falling off.

Is this just a consequence of buying cheap-ish denim (American Eagle, ya heard) or do I need to start buying jeans that are just too tight when I first put them on?

I have had that issue with many pairs of jeans as well. I have a pair of Seven jeans, though, that never melt off of me. They loosen a bit, just like any pants, but the fit is still the same no matter how long I have them on. If you can find them at a TJ Maxx/Marshall's type store, they are well worth it.

I think a lot of jeans nowadays are made with stretch fabric, just a little bit to make them more comfortable, which means they stretch out in a couple hours to be too big
I always wash mine in cold water and let them line dry, which seems to keep the stretching down to a minimum. Maybe also look for ones that have more denim and less blended fabrics?

Elle, those post was such a let down.

But since you asked. I too like Seven but it depends on the style/cut.

Don't buy Loft jeans. Well wait. Loft makes me feel skinny because I can buy a really small size and if I can breathe through the first hour, they're big. Sweeeeet.

I just seriously LOLed reading that title line.

I wear Old Navy Sweetheart Jeans. I'm tall, with long legs, but I've got a booty and some hips/pooch to contend with. The sweetheart talls work on length, the silouette is flattering, and they sit high enough on my waist/hips that everything stays where it should be. I normally wear bootcut, but the sweetheart skinny is the first pair of skinnies I've been able to wear and not look ridiculous or bigger than I am in them.

Seconding the line drying...that will keep them from stretching or shrinking. I wash mine cold, inside out (helps preserve color, especially with darker pairs), and line dry mine, and they fit like the day I bought them. They do stretch a bit, but they aren't falling off or anything. I can usually get away with wearing a pair twice before I need to wash them for reshaping.

I used to wear Levi's, and then I used to by the Kohl's Sonoma brand, but then they stopped making womens jeans that were not stretchy, so I started wearing men's jeans for a few years (I loooooved the deep pockets).

But, I needed neat, good-fitting jeans for work, and my favorite plus-sized clothing store, Deb, just started carrying their own line of jeans called Reign. I went in there to check them out, and I fell in love! Even though they are stretch they don't feel like it! They feel like wearing yoga pants or something. I have to go buy another pair soon. They go from size 0-12 and then 14-28.

I'm in the seven fanclub. I'm wearing some right now, and they for sure fit me the best out of all of my pairs of jeans, I think.

I used to line-dry my jeans, but I felt like it made them stretch out even sooner and I hated the stiffness when I first put them on.  So I've been machine-drying them.  I guess I'll give line-drying another try...

I wear Guess jeans, because they are the only ones I can find right now that fit my waist, but aren't saggy on my butt and thighs. I have a belly, but almost no butt, so jeans shopping is awful.

I haven't noticed them to be quite as bad with the stretching as my AE jeans were back when I could fit in them.

My faves are 29.  I bought them a sorority denim sale like 3 years ago (not my sorority, I wasn't cool enough ), but they don't have a size in them.  They're amazing though.

Also, Elle, I'll totally let you in my pants if you'll let me in yours.  Since BFF is in VT, I haven't had anyone else's pants to get into lately

Actually you will want a more stretchy material. Pure cotton denim will stretch out more throughout the day where as a bit of lycra or nylon etc will allow the jeans to keep their shape better.

I really like Joe's Jeans and Forever 21 has cheap and pretty nice fitting skinnies.

Ameican Eagle anything stretches soooo much!

My favorite brand of jeans is 7. Hands down. Expensive yes, but worth it to buy one pair a year.

My favorite are American Eagle Artist fit. I'm tall and thin, so I need longs, and their longs tend to be the best. Plus they make my butt look good. My sister is shorter and curvier and she really likes them too. I'm also a fan of Express jeans.

I wear almost exclusively 7s and Citizens, but as someone else mentioned the "stretch" factor really adds to their looseness over time.  I noticed that today when I was wearing them at work, but maybe that is also because I wear them frequently between washes and just throw them in the dryer.

That being said I have a pair of Loft straight legs that I bought on clearance for 19 dollars in both light wash and medium wash and I LOVE them they seem to fit perfectly and I don't mind if they get tears or stains because they were so cheap.

I only wear Mudd jeans (so it was bad when no one sold them for awhile--thank you Kohls!). They fit well, I prefer the thin, somewhat stretchy fabric, and they usually cost around $25 a pair.

Yes, they do fit best right when they're out of the dryer. They stretch out a little. I used to always just wear a belt. I don't with my current two pairs, but they're not falling down, either. They just get a little looser.

My all-time favorite jeans were James Jeans.  They fit perfectly, even at the end of the night.  The back pockets had darts that made my butt look AMAZING.  I love, love, love them.

I used to love American Eagle jeans and had a pair from Pac Sun that were my favorite for years, but I've put on a few pounds and apparently my body shape has changed over the last couple years.  Lately I've only found Old Navy sweetheart's to fit well enough...I have them in two different cuts currently and plan to use my $10 coupon I got last night to get another pair for nearly half price!

I fit best in Abercrombie jeans.  When U buy then they are usually pretty snug at first, then they tend to stretch out.  That is the only place I buy jeans. (As a side note I get them in Abercrombie kids size 10, I am that tiny and find it hard to fit into pants)

The best ones I've found that don't stretch out are from Cato. They're super cheap and they've never stretched. Super cheap too.. I think last time I bought four pairs.
