It didn't go well. And I couldn't take pictures. First of all when I walked into the place they didn't even acknowledge my existence. Then when I said I had an appointment they looked at me like I was crazy. So then this chick tells me to start looking at dresses and to let her know which ones I want in the dressing room. The racks were really tightly packed so it was hard to find anything. Then when I did find something, the girl was helping someone with a fitting. Then I finally got to trying stuff on and it was just a small dressing room and I had to do everything myself. Taking these huge dresses off the hangers, getting in them, zipping them up, she was no where to be found. Plus I am smaller than sample size so they all just looked huge on me because they weren't "clipping" it. Needless to say I was less than impressed with the customer service.
Also, I don't understand why it is so hard to find a simple wedding dressing without a bunch of ruching/beading/crap etc...I can find them online but stores just don't have them.
This is my ideal dress. I tried it on at the first place and loved it, but it is way too expensive:
This dress is in my budget, but no place that carries the line has had it in stock. The first place I went is having a trunk show with the designer in October where they could ask them to bring it, but it's kind of far away to go again and I have a super hectic schedule:
This one I tried on at the store and kind of liked. It was way affordable, which is a plus. I tried it without the hideous sash
This is another one I tried. It is a pretty dress and I liked the way it looked on me, but it really just isn't the style I saw myself getting married in. FI and I both have a more modern style and this was too traditional. Plus it was over budget.
So I am really frustrated. I don't like this experience so far because I feel like a picky brat. I'm trying not to act like it, but I just don't get why everything in the stores has to be so overdone. I think I need to take a wedding dress shopping hiatus. Does anyone have any suggestions for a simple/elegant wedding dress that they've come across in shopping?
