Honeymoon/Vacation Poll

I want a vacation so bad right now but I'll have to settle for hearing about yours!

1) Are you going on a honeymoon?  Where are you going or planning on going?

2) No honeymoon?  Have any other vacations planned?

3) Do you have an all-time favorite vacation spot or vacation type (beach, skiing, etc)?

1) Yes! 6 months from today we will be at San Souci in Ocho Rios, Jamaica! I wish it was today!!!

2) Visiting our families usually are our vacations. My family lives in the Finger Lakes and his lives out in Long Island, so we get sunshine and swimming either way.

3) We enjoy Nantucket, and Cape May (we go here every year).

Oh, I like this question.

1) I think we are attempting to go to Belize, we haven't booked anything yet, but will likely look into that in the next two weeks. I just wanna lay in a hammock and drink rum punch.

2) None planned as of yet. Here's hoping.

3) I loved my trip to Berlin, I know it sounds strange, but I got to live there and really get to know the lay of the land. I would also really like to go back to Poland and Hungry.

Katanne- That looks awesome?  Are you going to go to the Dunn's River falls?

1)  I'm sure we will go on a honeymoon.  Probably somewhere in the Caribbean.  We'd  like to go to Europe but I don't think we'll have enough time plus it will be July/August.  So I think we'll wait until we graduate to go there.

2)  We'll be going to Central America once or twice this summer for family visits, wedding stuff, and maybe a school trip.

3)  I can't decide what my favorite vacation type is.  I LOVE being around mountains, but I hate the cold.  I also love going to the beach.  So I don't think I could pick a favorite.

We are getting married in October and probably going on our honeymoon in February. We're not sure where we will go but probably on a cruise.

No real vacations planned but I am going to NYC this upcoming weekend with a friend!

So sad, we don't really go many places. FI has a hard time getting work off when I have school breaks. He works for a company that does vacation time based on seniority and he's just low enough where he can't get anything in the summer and only occasionally can get Feb or April break off. He has spoken with his supervisors and they'll let him have next Feb break off for a honeymoon. When we have gone away, it's been to places with amusement parks!

Hetshup - That doesn't sound strange it sounds fantastic.  I'd really like to go to Hungary too.  But I'm obsessed with going to Slovenia right now.

KD - Your FI's vacation deal sucks, but I'm glad you worked things out for February!

We're planning on honeymooning, still trying to figure out where we want to go. Right now, Hawaii and Costa Rica are leading the pack of ideas.

Most of our vacations consist of visiting family. We're going to NYC/Connecticut for rickylee's wedding next month, and Belize the week after. Sometime in May, up to Ohio to visit my family.

Man, it's honestly hard to pick. I would say my top five are:
1) Southwater Caye, Belize
2) Paris
3) Charleston, SC
4) Key West
5) Outer Banks

Yeah, his vacation stuff totally sucks especially because he only gets 2 weeks a year. Luckily, they pay him well...

Ana - Have you been to Slovenia before? I went a almost 4 years ago. It was awesome. Although I was only in Ljubljana. They had incredible flowers at the markets there. I wish I had the money to go there to pick out my wedding flowers or to have them sent to me. I hope you get to go sometime.

We are still throwing around honeymoon ideas. We are getting married 8/27 but planning on going somewhere warm in the winter for the honeymoon.

We will be heading out to CA for FSIL wedding at some point. She said winter, so we are thinking it will be this upcoming winter, but no plans set yet.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved my European vacation. I would love to go back to Venice. I do also love going to an AI in the Riviera Maya.

Loopy- No I haven't been there yet.  We didn't make it to the eastern Alps when we were in Europe.   So next time we go (2012?) I want to go to eastern Switzerland, Austria, and NW Slovenia.  I just love the small mountain towns.  I'm going to google Ljubljana now...

Oh and I loved Venice too!   I liked it much better than Florence which is one of FI's favorites.

Planning on going to Paris over the summer. Hopefully, tyring to figure out the details still.  Doing a mini-moon to Disney a couple weeks after the wedding since FI is going to belize the week after with oceana and then the Keys the two weekends after that.

all vacations pretty much consist of visiting family and some weekend trips up to Orlando.  Though I am going to a conference next week in Seattle which will be like a mini vacation.

LOVE New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine preferably camping in the summer.
Since I now live in florida the beach is not my number one vacation type lol

We are going to the Sandals resort in Antigua the Monday after our wedding.

I'll have a mini-vacation back to Ohio at some point for my shower and we'll probably visit one of our families (North Carolina or upstate NY) in the fall.

1. Nope, probably won't be getting married until Fall 2011!

2. YES!!! In about 3 months we'll be in Turks & Caicos! But I'm a little bummed we'll be missing the finale of LOST when we're there... Such dorks!

3. I love skiing in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. But now that I'm a grown up supporting myself I realize that skiing is incredibly expensive and only go like once every other year!

Ana- It was amazing, Krakow is so far my favorite place that I have ever been. I would love to go spend some more time there.

The knot didn't like me yesterday either. It wouldn't show me any of the posts that had been posted yesterday. Grr.

I agree, Venice is a lot better than Florence. I also went to Pisa. IMO - it really wasn't worth the drive there, but well, now I can say I've been.

I also went to Austria too. We went to Vienna and Salzburg. I really enjoyed Vienna. There was just a ton to see. I wish we would have stayed more than one day.

I wish I could convince the FI to go to Europe for our honeymoon!

If we go on a HM immediately after getting married, we're planning to go old school and go to Niagara Falls.  If we have to wait until winter or something, we're going to go on a cruise to the bahamas.
