Here is a post ready for you all to think about in the morning:

What was the last beautiful thing you witnessed?

Also- Do you live in the present enough? Do you ever miss the beautiful things surrounding you?

The last beautiful thing I witnessed was this morning when I saw the look of unadulterated joy on a patient's face when she learned she was cancer free.

Tonight I heard my friend tell me how she is working on forgiveing her abusive ex husband. To me, that is beautiful.

Do I live in the present enough? No.... it's a hard thing to do when you absolutely can't wait to marry the sh!t out of the man you were made to love. :)But really, I am such a forward thinking person that I have to remind myself weekly to enjoy the present and to stop running to the future without "smelling the roses."

Of course I miss beautiful things.... especially when I feel ugly and the world around me seems beautiful (not in a vain way, I mean emotionally). I miss my mom when she was nicer to be around. In fact, I almost mourn her like I have lost that. I miss my Grandma H's hugs and homemade cookies. I miss laughing with a close group of girlfriends.   I miss being young and naive. I miss my childhood summer afternoons filled with swinging on swings with the neighbors, eating oranges, and stealing pecans of Mr. Art's tree.  I miss a lot. Most of which I can't take back.... but I suppose I can move forward.

Everything is beautiful if you allow yourself to see it.

The last beautiful I witnessed was a young, college age couple on the T Platform this morning. They were clearly very sleepy since it wasn't even 8 and he was hugging her from behind. The girl turned around to hug her guy back and there was ust so much love there. I know I sound like a sap but I thought they were adorable.

I feel like I live in the present enough when going about my day to day tasks, and I quite literally stop to smell the roses. However, Like PP,  I miss the beautiful things from the past like my mom and her three sisters sitting around a kitchen table, drinking tea, and laughing. Even as a kid I thought that was a beautiful sight.
