Oh coastal weather, you confuse the **** out of me.

So I just logged on to the Environment Canada weather forecast for my city, and this is what I saw:

I'm not really sure how it can be +8* (45*F) and there can be a snowfall warning at the same time. I also think it's funny how 5cm (about 2") of snow can prompt a warning, but I digress.

  • We're expecting 10-15cm here tonight, and are also under a snowfall warning. I'll believe it when I see it, basically. We haven't had that much snow all winter.

  • I think we've had a light dusting maybe twice here? It's so weird, since I'm used to ON winters, although I know this year has been weird for you guys.

I heard you were supposed to get some out there tonight too. Did anything stick around from the snowfall the other day?

  • 5cms for a snowfall warning, really? We get it for 10cms + here in alberta... lol

  • T-Bay is -3 right now and we aren't supposed to get snow until Sunday (calling for 15cm). We hardly have any snow this year! When we went to visit my parents in T.O area BF was so shocked they don't have snow and thinks its basically tropical there lol.
  • We really don't have much left from last week other than in places where it was plowed into piles or thoroughly packed down along unplowed paths.

I want snow tonight cause we haven't had any, but it's coming at a really bad time since FI's brother is in the process of moving and we're supposed to be taking some appliances up to him on the trailer tomorrow.

  • I think they put out the snowfall warnings when its so small because people cannot handle driving here in the snow.  At all.  Driving to work is a nightmare because of how slow people go up the mountain.  I get very excited when it snows in the city, but I dread getting in the car on those days.

It was really nice weather-wise at Whistler today.  The perfect temperature for me :)

  • It was so gorgeous here today too. I find Vancouver really really funny when it snows. People seriously freak out when it's just flurries. It's a little rainy now, I'm thinking the temp will drop over night.

  • Winnipeg weather has been confusing the fark out of me this year. We haven't had the whole -40, feels like -60 with the wind chill that we usually get in January. We have hardly any snow. It's been above freezing a ton of days between November to now. It's just odd. And it's messing up my car! I keep forgetting when I plug my car in because I hardly have to do it and I've driven away without unplugging it at least 6 or 7 times this year, which is like 1/2 the times I've plugged it in. Fortunately all I've wrecked was the extention cord (as far as I know). I've had to buy 4 new ones this year Frown.
