Narcissists want weddings, not marriage

http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/01/living/wedding-marriage-splits/index.html?hpt=hp_bn8

This is SUCH a good article! I wanted to share with you all. So many of the quotes sound like things we say to the BSC that appear every now and then.

Here's a tidbit:  "And when the wedding becomes about "me" instead of "we" or "her big day" and not "our big day," it can be a warning sign that perhaps this is a union best avoided."

Great article. KimK clearly cared more about the wedding than the marriage. It was sad to watch, and disgusting to think about how much money they made off of it.

<div>Agreed. And it's sad. I can only imagine she was also feeling serious pressure becuase her sisters are either married or have a kid. It's so sad and so infuriating all at the same time.</div>

See, this is exactly why I'm not nervous about the divorce rate when getting married.  Because there's probably a lot of people just like Kim K that want the weddings, and they are the ones that probably make up a large percentage of the 50% divorce rate.

When you put it like that, it's difficult to disagree! And we all know who those people are, too...

I have to wonder if the popularity of reality TV shows has anything to do with the fact that most people can look at these satires of human-behavior and feel good because they DON'T act like that. =) Just a thought!
