Hi all. My BF's grandmother passed away on Saturday. His Oma (as he called her) was very special to him. They lived only two blocks away from his grandparents growing up, and he had a bedroom in both houses that was 'his.' She helped raise him, taught him German, and made him into the man he is today. We will go to be with his family on Thursday, and I'm sure this week and weekend will be very hard for him.
I'd really appreciate your thoughts and prayers for two things: 1-That this weekend is good closure for him, that he is able to say the things he wants to say at the memorial service. And 2-that I do a good job of being there for him. We all grieve differently, so I'm really just trying to be supportive and not force him into grieving how I grieved for my grandparents.
Thanks all - I'll be pretty much out of touch from Thursday - Sunday but will be back next week.
