I'm Going to St. Lucia!

...but not until February *EXCITEMENT*

My BF's sister got engaged on Thanksgiving and every week since (it seems like), she's been changing her mind as to where she wants her destination wedding to be. Her goal was to choose a place that no one who's attending has been before.

At first it was Amsterdam. Then it was California wine country, then Argentina, then Puerto Vallarta, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Martha's Vineyard, on and on and on...

BUT TODAY -- we finally got word that the wedding will be in St. Lucia for sure! They've made the reservation at the resort already, it's locked down, no turning back now!

....I just felt like sharing that cus we've been waiting for months to find out where we're going and now, we have!! YAY!

I am SO jealous! I've never been to the Caribbean and would love to go. I bet it will be a gorgeous wedding!

I second Desert's "so jealous" sentiment. Never been to the Carribean either. Closest I've been was dipping my feet in the water on New Year's Day in Miami -- cold!!

And in February...man, I'd give anything to NOT be in the VA mountains in February. So jealous.

I can imagine! I live on top of a mountain myself and lemme tell ya - during the winter, I've seen it snowing on my deck, but when I drive down to the bottom of the mountain it'll be raining! Mountain winters are miserable.

I'm just glad she chose a tropical destination. I can't wait. The last time I went outside the continental US was over 5 years ago; I went to England. Not exactly tropical, especially in the middle of April!

Oh, that's terrific. It's 25 minutes away from here, but I haven't been in years. My friends just got back from honeymooning there and report it's as lovely as I recall. Great choice.
