It's Here!!!

The watch for BF came in today!!!  I'm so excited, and I can't wait to give it to him.  As I said, I'm going to wait until he proposes first, so it'll sit safely at my friend's house until I'm ready, but I'm totally in awe that this is the watch he'll wear the day we get married.  It's so perfect for him - the size is great, the style is awesome, it's very classic.  I absolutely love this watch!  Yay!

Love it, Cate!  I also think it's a good idea to keep it at a friend's house.  I'd be ready to burst wanting to give it to him!!!  I'm sure he'll love it.  And I think it is such a great idea to have a sweet gift for him after the proposal.  It's nice for the men to have a token as well.

Thanks, ladies!  I'm really excited, and I'm definitely about bursting, but I'll do my best to be patient.

Just so you guys know (most of you probably already do), this is his version of an engagement ring.  I'm going to propose to him, too.  We hope to pass it on as an heirloom just as we hope to pass on my ring someday.  So I'm antsy as a kid in a candy store - this is how the guys must feel when they have the ring!  It's a wonder they don't all propose right away.  If I didn't have to wait for him to propose first (as we've agreed), I probably would have given it to him tonight!

Swiss Army Victorinox, the "Officer" collection.  It couldn't be more perfect for my BF!  He has an old Seiko watch that his ex-girlfriend got him awhile back - the clasp is totally busted, but he won't throw it out since it's the only dressy watch he has (as compared to a sports watch for running/exercising) and he's too cheap to buy a new one.  He does know he's getting an engagement watch, just as I know I'm getting an engagement ring. The details are a surprise, though!  He doesn't know anything about this watch, and doesn't have any idea how I plan to ask him to marry me.  He wins at Monopoly every single darn time we play, and it's a running joke that I have to beat him eventually, so I'm going to play him in Monopoly and offer to trade him a life with me (and a shiny watch) in exchange for all his Monopoly money and property.  He'll get a really good laugh out of it, and I'll finally "win"!
