Hectic Day and Weekend -- but a Harry Pottter Party!

My day is kind of crazy today. I haven't done my Latin homework yet for class (whoops), so I should really at least take a look at it...  but I have work today, a meeting with my professor to discuss my paper and Latin and life, a class observation at a local high school, my mom's home inspection (she wants me to go with her)...

...and then, a HARRY POTTER party! (Clicky!) It'll have food, games, trivia, costumes...  and then I get to see the movie again!  And it's a pretty cheap date night with the BF, who is definitely not as big of a fan as I am, but is coming along with me anyway. I might have him under my imperius curse...

I'm excited about the party--because after that, it's a mega homework marathon for me. How is everyone's weekend shaping up?

    This just gave me such a happy.

    My family isn't doing the Hogsmeade weekend this year :( So I expect pics!!

    Do tell:  what is the Hogsmeade weekend?!

    I wish my BFF could come along too. She has an AWESOME Professor Trelawney outfit, but she's busy.

    That sounds like so much fun!  I really wish there was something like that in my area.  None of my friends like Harry Potter and pretty much think I'm lame for loving it.  I hope you will post pics when you get some free time, have fun!!

    I miss SUA events soo bad! lol They were always sooo much fun! I went to the Rocky Horror  Show event back in 07 and it  was a BLAST!!! Have fun and take tons of pics!

    Are you wearing a costume?

    Damn now I am really missing Lawrence. I need to visit soon! I'll be in KC and Manhattan for Thanksgiving. BF is going to the Cheifs' game that Saturday and I have no plans. Maybe I'll make a visit to Lawrence :)

    I'll do my best to take some photos--just cell phone pics though, I don't have my camera on me.

    I actually don't have a Harry Potter costume... just a toga. Though I did have a friend make an awesome suggestion that Dumbledore would be the most likely to wear a toga. 

    I'm not sure about my Thanksgiving plans yet--Tim might be hauling me out to Garden City to spend time with his family. At least, I think that's what's happening, but we haven't really decided on it/talked to family yet. If I'm here though, I'm game!

    That IS an awesome costume...

    Hogsmeade weekend started the year the last book came out, to help us all cope with it being over. Every year in October, my mom hosts an HP party, with trivia and games, and of course HP-themed noms. It is a LOT of fun. This year my sister and I were going to perfect our butterbeer recipe, but with my friend's shower and my aunt's passing, it got away from us. No Hogsmeade '11:(  Just means Hogsmeade '12 will be huge!
