Most excited I've been in a while...

My mom, sister, and my grandparents are on their way to Tahlequah to visit. I know its silly, but I have been here since August and haven't been able to find a job, so I don't really have the funds to make the drive back home, so I am super excited that they love me enough to drive here. We visit boyfriends family all the time because they only live an hour and a half away. So he doesn't really quite get the intense excitement that I am feeling, but he is being a sweetheart and cleaning like crazy so that my mom can come view his apartment and not be totally grossed out. Oh and throwing away all the beer cans, because my grandparents are super religious and well they don't think that their precious granddaughter is drinking while she is here "/

That's exciting! I know how you feel, my BF and I live 20 hours away from my family and 3 hours away from his. We see his family all the time and mine, well like twice a year. So I always get super excited to be able and see mine! I'm actually staying with my family now and my BF will be coming down here to visit for my birthday/thanksgiving and I'll go back with him!

I totally understand your excitement.  I haven't seen any of my family or friends since the end of April when I moved down here and I know I'd be insanely excited if they were coming to visit or vice versa.   Have fun!!

Thanks guys! We had a lot of fun. Just so sad to watch them drive away. I am glad that I am not the only one feeling this way. I kinda feel lame sometimes when I say that I miss home, only true freshman are supposed to. But whatever...it all boils down to, me and my sister are the best of friends and the more me and boyfriend talk about getting married the more I miss her. I pass by all the wedding dress shops in my town just shaking my head going I don't wanna try on wedding dresses and plan a wedding without her there :( Besides the fact my granddaddy just up and told me today that he has been going down hill the last few months. That totally broke my heart. Anybody else have family members that are ill and you live far away. I need some support or words of encouragement on that note...

Yes...I do. I am from Arkansas and have been living in NJ for the last 2 years...and my grandpa is going down hill pretty fast.   I just talk to him every chance I get and have him know that I'm still his little girl. He raised me growing up and idk what I'm gonna do without him. I just keep it in my head that he knows he is well loved, and has had a good full life. U can chat with me anytime!
