Roles for little girls?

I have a flower girl already and I was wanting to involve my fiance's 4 nieces in the wedding somehow because they are a big part of our life. I know one can stand at the guest register stand. We won't be passing out birdseed because it will already be hanging on the chairs. Any ideas? Thanks

  • Does your dress have a train? When my Aunt got remarried her 3 young sons followed behind her and carried her train. It was the cutest thing ever. Junior bridesmaids? What are their ages?

    How old are they?

I think flower girls are the only appropriate place for young girls to participate.  The likelihood of them staing at the guest register stand is slim - and not fun at all.  They will be bored and not like that job at all.

There's nothing wrong with having more than one flower girl.  Some of them could carry rings in if you don't already have someone in the RB role.
  • I wouldn't give them jobs to do.  I know I wouldn't have enjoyed it and would have rather stuck around my parents or play with my siblings.
  • I'm in agreement with the other gals here...

Maybe at the reception you can have a "special" seat for them.  Like go to the dollar store and get a crown and what not, and set up their place setting special.  Also take pictures with them.

  • My nieces and FH's neice are going to be "Program fairies" They are all under the age of 6 and they will have baskets full of programs to hand out to the guests as they come in. It will keep them occupied before the ceremony starts and they can enjoy the rest of the day as guests

  • bell ringers, carry a "Here Comes the Bride" banner
  • Looove this idea! I have 3 older nieces - 11 and 12 and they would get a kick out of this!

  • for my wedding i have 4 flower girls, 2 r my nieces and 2 are his neices, but to keep it interesting and fun for them i am having each one do something different like one can do rose petles, one can blow bubbles, one can release a dove, and another can do something else, this way they each feel like they are doing something important but yet it will be fun for them too.
