http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/technology/2011/12/all-american-muslim-kayak-calls-show-terrible-but-apologizes-to-customers.htmlCN: Kayak.com jumps on the FFA bandwagon and pulls future advertising from the show All-American Muslim.
This part was disturbing to me...
(copied+pasted from the article)
"The first thing I discovered was that TLC was not upfront with us about the nature of this show. As I said, it's a worthy topic, but any reasonable person would know that this topic is a particular lightning rod," he said. "We believe TLC went out of their way to pick a fight on this, and they didn't let us know their intentions. That's not a business practice that generally gets repeat business from us... Sadly, TLC is now enjoying the attention from this controversy."
How wasn't TLC upfront about the show? How did TLC pick a fight on this?
And the hypocrisy of TLC enjoying the attention is disgusting. I had never heard of the FFA before last week. And Kayak is putting themselves front and center.
I think my favorite part of the article is when an executive said, "mostly, I just thought the show sucked." So, are they going to be pulling all their ads from every show that sucks?
Plusandalso, I love how an executive couldn't think of a more eloquent word than "sucked." Seriously? Worst review of a show ever.
