My Anniversary Gift For Him...Help Me Choose!

My 3-year anniversary with FI is on 11/12. This is the first year I will be able to afford to buy him a gift, but I have some serious competition.

Our first year anniversary, he took me to see Eddie Izzard at Madison Square Garden. Second anniversary, he proposed.

I have a few ideas, but I have to act fast! Here are some things I have been thinking of:

1. Bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label - the top shelf brand of his favorite Scotch. It's not cheap, but I want him to have it once in his life. I was also thinking of getting it engraved (it's not an every day scotch, so he would at least have it for a long time).

2. A Ford Seatbelt belt <--- Clicky for viewing pleasures. His first car was a Ford, and he loved it a lot. He was really upset when it broke down and deemed unrepairable.

3. He has to wear a tie to work now, so I found some really fun ties. Clicky for viewing pleasures:
Math Equations (he works in a bank, does math all day)
Bach (big classical music lover)
Guitars (plays guitar, it's his favorite instrument)

4. Doctor Who Heat-Changing TARDIS mug <-- clicky (we loves Doctor Who!)

5. "Zombie Combat Manual" (for ZRS reading material)

6. Zombie Identification t-shirt <-- clicky

Does any one else have any opinions or suggestions? I need to decide fast so I can order it if it needs to be ordered!

    I love anything about zombies. I got BF the Zombie Survival Guide for his birthday. That is the route I would go, I think the scotch idea is awesome but I think it would be a super awesome wedding present as opposed to an anniversary present.

    Zombies, definitely zombies. In this day and age, we need as much of an arsenal against the undead as we can muster.

    I would kill a man for that TARDIS cup as well.

    I've contemplated the Johnnie Walker Blue for BF on a couple of occasions. He's dying to try it, and is always looking for some way to buy a bottle that isn't as expensive. If your FI is anything like BF, I bet he'd love that, and it would last a while.

    He has World War Z <em>and</em> The Zombie Survival Guide <em>and</em> The Everything Book About Zombies <em>and</em> That's Not Your Mommy Anymore. He's also a lifetime member of the Zombie Research Society and founding member of the first NJ chapter of ZRS =D

    Why thank you. I enjoy him! =) You weren't around when I was first talking about the Zombie Research Society. It's a real thing: <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.zombieresearch.org">www.zombieresearch.org</a> ... FI's BFF is president, he's vice president and I'm secretary/Sargent-at-Arms (yes, that's a real title). If we are approved for chapterhood, we will be the first in the state of NJ!

    The zombie stuff is all pretty much safe bets. I agree with you that the Johnnie Walker Blue is probably a better wedding gift, or a bigger milestone than a 3-year anniversary. I just thought I would really WOW him because he always WOWs me, and I guess I kinda wanted to flaunt the fact that I gots monies now.

    I would vote for the Johnnie Walker, although it would be an awesome wedding gift, if you guys are planning to exchange them.  The seatbelt belt and fun ties would tie for second, IMO.

    Also, I know nothing about zombies, so I can't speak to anything zombie related, but it seems like they are pretty popular.

    bside - I'd never heard of the zombie research society but I will have to tell BF about it, he is all about the zombie apcolypse

    It's pretty awesome! We do charity work, too. There's actually a chapter in Denver, I don't know if that's near you. Chapters are required to hold open meetings at least twice a year.

    I love the TARDIS disappearing mug and the math tie. I think the Johnnie Walker would make a better wedding present.

    You say your FI is very much into zombies - does he have a zombie survival kit?  You could get him a backpack and fill it with supplies - water, food, a bottle of less expensive scotch, matches, utility knife, the "Zombie Combat Manual," etc.

    He kind of already has one. It's called the bug-out bag LOL it's in our closet. I don't like to think about it because I don't like the idea of a zombie apocalypse. I wouldn't survive.

    Extremely good point. It's a shame you don't live in NJ, you and the BF would be a shoe-ins for members of our ZRS chapter!

    I would say yes, but then again I'm not the best judge for that kind of thing. I think it's hilarious and if you think an 8 year old can handle it, go for it  =D
